Trippy Jump

This is a game that has powerups and runs well, but that's all that's going for it. It is very repetetive, takes a second to start anew each time and the colours are hard on the eyes. Can't play this for long. Can't imagine buying this for money.

"Simple jumping platformer game" is putting it very lightly. The game is extremely simple to the point that it is purposeless. You are a white block, jumping across some other squares and trying not to fall in the gap. That is it. There is absolutely nothing else. No sort of game mode, no levels, no difficulty - nothing. The fact that one is charged for this game is a crime. Glad I got this for free, shame about wasting the key though as it's embarrassing to have this on my profile.

Trippy Jump is another asset flip from the repeat offenders at My Way Games. This time they've ripped off someone's mobile app/endless runner tutorial package and they're trying to scam people into buying it. What a joke. This mobile app is just a simple "endless jumper" where you jump from pillar to pillar endlessly. Semi Sağlam/My Way Games have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic vector art used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators (DNovel, A Nostru and Timberwolf Studios, all asset flip/scammers, review manipulators and plagiarists) who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Trippy Jump has an overly optimistic price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the dubious ethics of the developer here. Don't reward scammers.
