So I liked this game at first but after awhile I realized how much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was in this game, intending to take as much time from you as possible. -Enemies starting attacks off screen that travel a distance wider than your full screen -Running around forever just to find absolutely nothing in some worlds, you can legit run for 20+ minutes and find nothing but kinder traps which are very very useless. I even got the run 20% faster perk and the game still feels like you are running nowhere with nothing to do. -Most items have no use and have no reason to exist. Why do I have pinecones? Why do the "special traders" trade you things that have zero use in them. -Combat system is abysmal, some enemies you cannot defeat without being hit, no matter how you fight them. Shield guys holding shield up? Okay just wait for them to attack, block it, then attack myself right? No if you block their attack and instantly attack after they shield bash you and hit you. Attack first while they are blocking? You get shield staggered and they hit you. This is intended to make the game take longer to do simple tasks because you cant wipe out a full group at once. You have to fight one or two, use potions or run all the way back to base and use the 2 minute cooldown heal. It doesn't help that you can only hold 3 potions max but you can carry thousands of pounds of other random ♥♥♥♥ items that are useless. It would help if you could actually carry more of the items you want. Combat system isn't made for you to have fun its to make game last longer and create an artificial difficulty. -Something I do love about this game is that after you take time to fight hard enemies your teammates can come up and steal all the ♥♥♥♥ you worked hard for. Cleared out a camp? Thanks for the loot idiot keep killing stuff for me as there's next to no benefit to killing 90% of the enemies. Kill a boss in a server with more than 3 people? No loot for you because the guys who didn't fight run up and loot the first legendary chest they see. Kill a single deer? ♥♥♥♥ you that's my deer too you don't get to loot anything in this "team" game. -Skilltree has majority of useless things besides the running perk which makes the game slightly less depressing when u die and have to run 15 minutes back to your body, instead you only have to 12 minutes!!!!! Big time saves from the best perk in the game for sure. They should make one that makes you run 100% faster, than 200%, then 300%. That would make the game less boring for sure. /s Well you could always take the noob bait perk that makes your farming tools break slower and then you cant repick skills. I had 3 friends pick the farming perks to regret it as they are very ♥♥♥♥. -Lots of weapon abilities are bugged but im sure they will fix those soon enough so it isn't that big of a problem, lots of clipping on water walkways where it looks like you can walk across. -Exp takes hours to level up even once, huge grind for tiny payoff. A secret tip to grinding levels I found is to afk in a game with lots of players, around 5+ and every time they clear a night you get some exp. I went from 5 to 6 by doing that when I went to bed and took a 3 hour nap. -BIG MINUS Norsfell [developer] Hi, We don’t have a set price yet, but we can confirm it will be a premium game. Meaning, one price, with cosmetics that can be additionally purchased to help us maintain the game with free updates and absorb dedicated server costs! Cheers! Apparently devs are already excited to get the microtransactions going for epic shield skins ingame. Maybe they could even add some Fortnite chug jugs or Llamas. +I love the artstyle and theme of the game, the gameplay however is dry and unrewarding. +I was trying to think of another plus but I sat here for 5+ minutes thinking and couldn't get one so I like that there's girls vikings at least. Overall game could be good if they fixed endless running, horrible combat system, getting hit from offscreen and looting system so teammates cant steal literally everything. I rate this game 3/10 in its current state

Alright listen buckaroos, this game needs a LOT of work and I understand that going into this, it's an Open Beta, but here are some of my complaints (forsenSWA). *There are no ranged weapons *You don't have the ability to break an opponents block without opening yourself up to an attack *The fast travel system is just entirely wrong for there only being a 10 minute day cycle, you spend most of your day just getting to where you previously had explored *As of right now, gates seem entirely pointless for the resources needed to create them *Very little weapon/armor variety, although I think this will be improved over time naturally *Having to heal your tree with souls is an okay concept, but without the guarantee of fast travel back to your base, my friends and I more often than not found ourselves having to suicide in order to make it back in time to defend. *EDIT: It also takes an ungodly amount of time to level up for the miniscule rewards granted by perk points. Just to name a few. Overall the game has potential, but as stated before, it needs a lot of work. This review will be positive/recommends the game, however I would not advise buying it on release. Not by a longshot. I would say it needs a few months to mature and figure itself out and then it would be a better purchase :)
I like what I see so far, and I will happily follow this towards it's release in Early Access. My biggest bit of feedback for the developers is item durability feels a bit too punishing (even with speccing into it). My group found it to be more effective to just fight the Jotun's naked as opposed to wearing our best armor, though we did use our best available weapons for as much damage as possible. This may not be inline with the developers vision for the game, but I'd rather see repairing added to the game. This would allow you to make more use of your best gear and make the equipment hunting aspect of the game a lot more rewarding. Lastly, it seems like once your group is able to take on Jotun's, the game just feels like it drags on forever. Are you working towards anything, or is that just a matter of the game needing more tuning?
Why is the download even here if you can't play it??? Will change my review the moment i can "try" the game.
Absolutely love this game! Norsfell is a very small development team and I feel like they've done an outstanding job at creating a game that makes me want to keep playing. The video/audio feel of the game sets the mood and makes me want to keep playing. I've been playing this game for about 6 months (during their Alpha periods) and have enjoyed it every time. PROS: - Gameplay is very smooth with KB/M or Controller - Great development team (very active with communication in their Discord) - Visuals and Audio provide an awesome environment - World, which is procedurally generated, is fun to explore every time CONS: - Giants are a pain in the butt - They are suppose to be difficult, but man... I thought I was rolling and doing good until one came along and stomped my base - Would be nice to have a bit more of a story to the game - Communication with other players needs adjusted, as in my experience, it doesn't exsist - They already have in their Beta notes that this is something they are currently working on Overall, I love this game and cannot wait for the next Beta/Full release!
Дайте уже поиграть. Обновления сыпят а поиграть нема. Разрабы это не дело.
Very good, and unique survival theme. This is the only norse survival game I could find. AMAZING beta. All I would like to see in the game is better crafting/building, and I would like to see a bow added to the weapons. 4/5 really good experience.
"Open beta" is actually Closed. Don't waste your time downloading.
