Treehouse Basketball

Treehouse Basketball is a free VR basketball simulator designed for the HTC Vive. It worked on my system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Shoot free throws or play a quick 30-second timed challenge and see how many baskets you can sink. Cons: 1. The ball is not weighted and / or you can't put enough force on the ball. Shooting from the under the basket takes a lot of effort. From the 3 point line, nearly impossible. 2. The reset button on the bottom gets pushed too easily when I have to throw so hard to make the ball reach. I often accidentally push the reset button because I am gripping the controller so tight while throwing the ball. I'd suggest Devs change the Reset Basketball button, or make the controller on your off hand have the reset button on the grip buttons. 3. You can respawn the ball, but it will always appear on the ground, meaning you have to bend over each time to pick up the basketball, thus making the 30 second timed throwing game terrible also. 4. You better have nothing for real on your ceiling of your play area, you will be hitting it constantly if you do. Try it and delete it.

[h1]This works on the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers. [/h1] I wanted to recommend this game. It looks good. It has some nice physics. It's free. But it has a fatal flaw. The negative reviews are correct, the ball is too heavy. The mechanics to shoot the ball are almost impossible. You have to put the ball over your head and really try hard to get it at the rim from the free throw line. You have to throw it like a dart and do so with a lot of force. Otherwise, you'll be throwing airballs. Yes, from the free throw line. I wouldn't even attempt a 3 pointer. That pretty much makes the game unplayable. It's a shame, everything else is pretty spot on. Rating 3/10

Im not rating this under the impression that its free, Im judging by the fact if I would play this in my free time.....and I absolutely wont. [h1]Pros:[/h1] + nice graphics + runs smooth + can teleport to any spot [h1]Cons:[/h1] - you can respawn the ball, but it will always appear on the ground, meaning you have to bend over each time to pick up the basketball, I dont do that even in real basketball, I just give the ball a little shove with my foot - the physics of throwing dont feel good, the ball feels way too light - the 30 second throwing game is pointless, as you constantly have to bend over to get the ball from the ground loosing so much time Well you get what you pay for. In terms of throwing hoops, there are several better basketball games, like VR Hoops or even Modbox has better ball physics. They cost money but are much more worth your time.

It's free, It's fun, It will give you paint transfers on your controllers if you are tall. Seriously, it's a fun game, but make sure that you can extent your arm completely (with controller), and not scrape your ceiling. Other than that, the physics are great and it's a free and fun mini-game

I agree with everyone else posted. It looks pretty real physics and design.
