Train Bandit

Train Bandit, the law is right on your tail and it's up to you to stay atop the train for as long as possible. Train Bandit is a score attack game, presented in a nice simplistic pixel art style. Your goal, to survive as long as possible by fending off the law. The controls are as simple as they come, the left and right arrow keys, or A and D from WASD, the choice is yours. Left to attack enemies on the left, and right to attack enemies on the right. Every 20 regular enemies, a sheriff appears, which requires two fast inputs. There's three types, one that requires an input on other side, order doesn't matter, one that requires two inputs in the direction they are standing, and one that requires one input in the direction they are standing, followed by an input in the other direction. Apart from spawning a sheriff, the enemies start moving faster too, requiring you to react faster the longer you're in a run, so get those reflexes honed! Unlock a colourful cast of characters by completing specific challenges, like killing a certain amount of enemies, or reaching in a certain score in a single run. Honestly, my only issue with the game would have to be how grindy it can be. There are a select few achievements that will take far longer than the rest. Other than that, this game is pretty alright, though I'd definitely pick it up on sale when it's 50% off!

Train Bandit is a neat little test of your reflexes and hand-eye coordination. Its simplicity is part of what makes it so addictive, and the two to three hours you'll spend unlocking all of the achievements are a satisfying way to spend a few pennies and an evening where you just can't be inconvenienced to use your brain. You may even find it fun enough to spend a little extra time beating your high score. Enjoyable and worth the price if picked up on sale.
