i paid full price bc i simply couldnt wait after playing empire napoleon and medieval 2 and i can honestly say, tho i know if i wouldve waited for a sale i couldve gotten it for possibly 80-90% off, that ive never been happier with the product i received in this game when paying 60 bucks.. ive gotten so much worse for less. "lookin at u ageod and bf 6... lol" performance is decent but for a 2013 game being played in 2026 it could be optimized better. i have my specs below, but i get a very steady 60-90fps on my hardware on mostly ultra and high with the first options on aa and filtering. using hardcore or high settings aa or filtering causes some decent fps drops, but by turning off "heatwaves" effect it helps clarity well enough to equal or surpass napoleons. if ur on the fence just buy it. its probably neck and neck w empire and medieval 2 for me as far as pure fun and immersivness. the battles look amazing! i was gonna get rome remasted and still may, but its animations looked kinda eh but ive heard the campaign has better options. i also purchased the greek states dlc bc, well.. sparta xD
