This game was so simply fun. The mechanics are easy to understand, hard to master. Very enjoyable, solid game. Online multiplayer would be a huge plus. Overall very solid and great to sink some time into.

This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] "Torch" is a strange little platformer from France that comes across more as a tech demo or a student project rather than a serious game for PC gamers. I guess that explains the price point... regardless, this is a game that requires several players, and there's no population for the game at all. Why not? Well, apart from the quality, this is just a really shallow "always jump upwards" platformer... there's no gripping reason for anyone to play such a shallow game, and that plays out in the public reception (SteamDB tells a very dire tale). What do you do in the game? Jump upwards, all the time, push other players off platforms (there are none), avoid hazardous platforms, yawn a lot and maybe take a nap. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. A peak of [b]4 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

Несмотря на свою простоту, 'Torch' оставляет после себя ощущение тепла и умиротворения. Это отличный выбор для тех, кто ищет короткую и приятную игру, чтобы расслабиться после напряженного дня и немного потренировать свой мозг. Рекомендую!
