[b]The Division 2[/b] has over 25 dedicated gear sets, of which, roughly [b]90% of the game revolves around holding down the trigger on high-RPM automatics, LMGs, and skill builds.[/b] There are effectively only three sniper-oriented gear sets in the entire game (Hotshot, Aces & Eights, Breaking Point), and the vast majority of viable solo marksman builds relied entirely on the [b]Determined[/b] talent to be worth running in high-difficulty PvE.
[h3]Why this change ruins solo build diversity:[/h3]

[*] In a game filled with chaotic enemy combat rolls, instant-turn sprints, and erratic hitboxes, [b]Determined + Headhunter[/b] gave solo players a rewarding, satisfying loop: land a difficult initial headshot, and you could chain body-shot kills to clear open-world content efficiently.
[*] It was never broken in Legendary missions, raids, or group play where enemy scaling and helmeted heavies naturally break the chain, it was simply a fun, smooth power fantasy for solo farming.

Instead of bringing neglected weapon classes up to par, the developers took a sledgehammer to the only mechanic making dedicated sniper setups feel fluid, forcing a clunky, disjointed rhythm that ruins the entire weapon class.
I will change my review if these devs actually listen to the community for once.
I assume their goal was to make players utilize other MMR builds, but this has the opposite effect, no one will use MMRs now in any end game content. Why would we? St Elmo, Big Al, damn near every other type of gun can be made strong enough.
