Among the best Diablo-style ARPGs ever. It still has some great mechanics that I miss in newer games. Even though the engine is defintely showing its age, the gameplay is still very fun and compelling. The cool ancient mediterranian flavor helps it stand out as well.

If you really want to try, only at 'Fast' or above game speed. But it is still really clunky and the progression is too slow. It's my first experience with an old school ARPG and I approached it with an open mind. I expected friction but it was still too much for me. As it turns out, this genre relies strongly on solid mechanics if the story is poor and unfortunately neither is well done here.
