Basic tic tac toe is so boring so I wasn't expecting much from this. To my surprise though it's actually really fun and the special tiles really create skill you need to have in order to see ahead a step or two. Don't let the boring base game fool you, if you like roguelike deckbuilders then you should be able to enjoy this and know what you're getting into. Definitely worth the price. Almost forgot to mention since there's no Steam Deck verification yet, it works well on Steam Deck. I've ran into a buggy little element or two but it's overall very playable.
didn't expect to like a tic tac toe roguelike this much, I remember I kept playing the demo over and over again I got addicted to it, I HIGHLY recommend it
I hesitate to say yeah, get this game, but I think, at the end of the day, I would. I hesitate because I am getting extremely low FPS and crazy lag spikes, which shouldn't be happening at all for a game like this on the hardware I have. But, the gameplay is still enjoyable. Hopefully, the performance issues I'm having will be patched out in the future, because I'd like to have a smoother gameplay experience. So, despite the issues I'm having, I'd still say check out this game if it fits into the style of gameplay you typically enjoy.
Get it now or you are missing out
Fun Roguelike, instead of Poker with Balatro, this is Tic Tac Toe Roguelike. Imagine if your X tiles can shoot neighboring O tiles and you'll have an idea of why this is fun.
Fun game, still a lot of work to do towards balancing, bug fixing and adding features. Keep up the good work
Fun little game! Great way to kill some time. I just wish there was a bit more to do hope they add more soon!
Its good but there are some HUGE issues. Leaving a game can reset a board if you want to cheat and even send you back to the start of a world WITH all of the loot you collected from the world you already played, which means you could theoretically get infinite gear. It sometimes forces you to skip worlds and even sent me to "act 5-8" where i was in an empty grey area and reset all my progress?
i discovered this game on itch.io and immediately became pretty obsessed with it. i never got tired of the limited demo, but the full version is even better! i love strategy games like this that are based in a simple premise/easy to grasp rules (it's lowkey just tic tac toe) with added complexity and i love deck builders. the only complaint i have is that some of the tiles are difficult to understand, and it seems like a few of them leave artifacts that linger too long (namely the slime), so it is hard to know if my enemy has an actual tile placed or not. i would love if it had some sort of booklet in game that could show you all the tiles you have encountered and what each of them mean. i also want to look at all of them together, along with the available equipment, to come up with new strategies. it took me just over 6 hours to beat the final boss, but i am sure i will be pouring many more hours into replaying it.
Incredibly fun concept, and engaging gameplay. If you're a fan of deckbuilding roguelikes, and don't mind a certain lack of polish, this is the game for you. Sadly, the game is stuffed with bugs and unintended mechanics that make some encounters frustrating, but I'm hoping to see those issues get fixed with time.
