One of the better games of the genre, well personally think its the best after black desert with the major difference being combat style. Black desert had hack and slash type style combat where this game is built on classic game style like lineage. I couldn't get into black desert even though it was quite similar and possibly better in some aspects like marketplace and economy. What I like about this game: -No super edgy content. From mob design being modest and down to earth, to characters and races. - Live events are constant, meaning you are not forced to be online to not miss the event - Quality quests that make sense or atleast explained why you run back and forth few times - Story is actually good, if you care not to skip through it - Most quests are voiced, by most I mean there are still few that are missing but its a lot better than any other mmo I tried - Great world design, a lot of work was put into it. - You can play 2 classes with 1 character, you have 2 wepon choices - Lots of customization for class skillls, class level skills, wepon skills and extra traits on top of your classic weapon and armor stats. Some things that not necessarily a bad just different: - Marketplace is locked to only high grade items, meaning you cannot sell anything that is not market graded. Crafting items has low chance of being high grade. Similarly with dropped items. Meaning marketplace is off limits for majority of the game. Not a bad thing, just makes the game feel more of a co-op or single player regardless of world being populated. - You need to know a lot to pvp, need to have most of your abilities maxed out correctly because everybody else feels like use optimal settings. Hard to find low skill players like yourself. Gear is standardized I believe once entering the pvp zone, so its mostly skill knowledge I believe. - Marketplace does not allow listing of premium items, meaning most sales are done via shop. Shop has rotating mechanic rather than being list based. You can sell basic items for premium currency, but you can only buy premium items from shop for the company base price. Would only guess to combat botting and or account sales. Optimization could be a little better. You get wide fps swings for no reason seemingly and small stutters. I am running on 8+ year old mid-high tier system.

Garbage mobile game design
geil, aber in einem tag schon lvl 51 ist für meinen Geschmack schon etwas zu schnell.
Great game and true mmo. But as all Korean games you have to invest alot of time and to new players like me most is very hard to understand.
Per Steam i have 3045 hrs in this game and i cannot recommend it . Its very paid to win and with the newest Nix expansion it is way worse . I am a free to play player and i understand NCsoft needs to make money however this is excessive. So no thanks.
Garbage milking trash, bugs, more bugs and more bugs all the time with every new patch.
They have totally forgotten about new players,. They are so concentrated on keeping the right around 8k players on steam engaged they are ruining it for the new players, some new players do not want to be fast tracked and have all the quests completed for them, and all the rewards they would have received for completion gone and applied for you. You may be fast tracked even faster if you pay for it. Taqlk about other perks like like weapon Mastery, the rewards of Weapon Mastery are a joke today. While others that are hanking on have millions upon millions of Weapon Mastery points, just on that stand point alone you will never catch the all mighty whales, that were one handed offer 85+ million mastery points just for running a Battle Pass, not any more. closure of dungeons needed for completion that give o completion rewards at all. I mean WTF are these guys thinking. No wonder there is barley 8200 players combined on all the servers they have left.
Throne and Liberty is the great surprise I reallly really wasn't expecting. I completely disregarded this game for 2 years because of the F2P/P2W Korean aspect, until recently when I randomly saw some content on Youtube that got my attention. I realized that the game was of much better quality than I thought (visuals, gameplay, UI, world, etc), so I watched a bit more content about the state of the game and realized that the game might actually be good for me and since it's free to try I decided to jump in. The P2W issue is really a problem once you reach the very endgame in PvE or if you are here for the PvP. Fortunately for me, I don't care much for PvP and I never really commit to MMO endgames because I don't have thousands of hours to sink. And regarding the daily gated content, I think it's only an issue for huge no-life that want to play 8 hours a day. The leveling experience in the current state of the game is really good, it's even the best I have had in a MMO and I played a dozen in the last 20 years. There is lots of things to do without being to messy or becoming a chore and the content is very diverse. The rhythm is good. The quests are relatively interesting and even the side quests are well integrated. The world is really well built, beautiful and interesting. And the gameplay hit that perfect spot between tab target and action that makes it tactical enough without becoming too boring. The UI and menu is really the selling point for me. Usually games from Asian developers turn me off because of the awful UI and menus but TnL is doing an amazing job making the many systems not too daunting. The UI is clean and good looking and the menus make it easy to track your progress and decide what to do next. The voice acting is probably the weakest point when leveling. Not only many side characters have terrible VA that often don't match the character at all but VA sound often breaks. It's not a huge deal though. Visually The game is super impressive, many solo games wish they looked that good and run that smoothly, and for a MMO it is by far the best looking I have seen. And for a Korean game I love that they kept a "grounded" vibe. Overall the game offers at least a good 150 hours of great time for free or close to. The grind level and overall difficulty is good (as far as I went). The MMO community really are the most hypocritical, entitled, crybabies. They will whine about WoW all year long but dismiss anything that isn't the big 3 because they don't have 1.000 hours of free content. Of course I would have love for the game to have a better business model, maybe it would have changed this game from being "a good 100 hours" to "one of the best game of my life, one I would spend hundred of hours in", but it is what it is and the game is still extremely high quality.
