"Thieves' Paradise" is possibly a student project... the lack of flipped assets, irregular theme and so on all lend itself to what we expect from student projects, but if so the students didn't correctly mark it as such to properly warn gamers. Also, just like student projects, this doesn't feel like a full game, and more of a tech demo... also, it's more e-book than game, too. What do you do in the game? Mostly reading e-book/visual novel sections, and a bit of mediocre stealthing as you explore a shopping mall you intend to steal things from... but this is about as far away from Payday as you could get. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endless lines of badly written e-book text instead. My gaming rig is not a kindle. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.

10/10 Would handicap myself and play without a controller again.
Before I played Thieves' Paradise, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
'Shopping Complex'? I find it quite simple.
I LOVE STEVEN ART SO AMAZING WOW!!!!!!!!
