Thief’s Riddles First, I want to extend my thanks to SP GAMES for sending me a copy of Thief’s Riddles to try out. The concept is interesting—you play as a criminal now working with the police, stealing from other thieves and criminals. The store page promises a good amount of content, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t match the presentation. The game feels messy and inconsistent, almost as if it was stitched together without refinement. The controls are clunky and unintuitive, making even simple actions feel awkward. Thankfully, button prompts are displayed on screen, but the input layout itself is uncommon and takes effort to adapt to. The lockpicking system is easily one of the most frustrating mechanics I’ve encountered. The tolerance for success is absurdly narrow—off by a millimeter and your pick breaks instantly, with no buildup or feedback like you’d expect from Fallout or similar titles. Worse, there’s no reliable way to get more lockpicks mid-mission. I was soft-locked on the second level because I ran out and couldn’t progress. Lighting is another major issue. Interiors are pitch black, and while you do have a flashlight, it only works about half the time. I had to reload multiple times because it simply wouldn’t turn on. Thankfully, battery management isn’t a concern, but the broken lighting and dull puzzle design make exploration more frustrating than fun. Overall, Thief’s Riddles feels incomplete—technically finished, but lacking polish, feedback, and coherence. I genuinely hope updates are planned, because the premise has potential. If controls, lockpicking, and lighting are improved, this could turn into something worth recommending. For now, it’s hard to justify a playthrough. —The Ember Archives https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45601239/
The game is really cool! I recommend it to all puzzle lovers! Beautiful graphics and very enjoyable to play!
Hikaye yok.

Thief’s Riddles, developed and published by SP GAMES, is a first-person stealth adventure that mixes light investigative gameplay with methodical infiltration. It builds its identity around the idea of being a thief not purely for profit, but as someone operating in morally ambiguous territory—breaking into the homes and hideouts of dangerous individuals to uncover evidence that conventional authorities cannot obtain. This premise gives the game a slightly different tone from traditional heist titles, even if the execution remains grounded in familiar mechanics. The gameplay loop centers on entering carefully designed locations, avoiding detection, and uncovering both valuables and clues tied to each target. Every mission plays out as a combination of stealth navigation and environmental problem-solving. Players must observe patrol routes, identify safe paths, and use the environment to remain hidden while progressing deeper into restricted areas. The tension comes less from fast-paced action and more from the constant risk of exposure, encouraging a slow, deliberate approach. It’s a style of play that rewards patience, though it rarely evolves into something more mechanically demanding. What helps break up the stealth segments are the puzzle elements woven into each level. Locked doors, hidden compartments, and scattered clues require players to interact with their surroundings in a more thoughtful way. These puzzles are generally straightforward, designed to keep the experience flowing rather than to challenge the player extensively. While they add variety, they rarely reach a level of complexity that would make them a defining feature. Instead, they function as brief diversions that support the overall structure without significantly deepening it. The mission design introduces a range of environments, each with its own layout and set of objectives. From guarded residences to more elaborate hideouts, the variety helps maintain a sense of progression. Each target comes with a small narrative context, giving purpose to the infiltration beyond simple theft. However, the storytelling remains understated, often relying on environmental hints and collected items rather than direct exposition. This approach keeps the focus on gameplay but limits the emotional impact or narrative depth. Mechanically, the game remains accessible throughout. The stealth systems are easy to understand, and the controls are straightforward, making it approachable even for players new to the genre. However, this simplicity also leads to one of its main shortcomings: a lack of mechanical growth. Enemy behavior, mission objectives, and puzzle types remain largely consistent, which can make extended play sessions feel repetitive. There is little escalation in complexity, and once players understand the core systems, the experience offers few surprises. Visually, Thief’s Riddles opts for a functional 3D presentation. The environments are clear and readable, which is important for a game that relies on observation and navigation. While the visuals are not particularly detailed or distinctive, they effectively support the gameplay. The same can be said for the audio design, which provides basic ambient cues and signals without significantly enhancing the atmosphere. Together, they create a serviceable backdrop rather than a memorable one. Another limitation lies in the overall sense of immersion. While the concept of infiltrating criminal hideouts is compelling, the game does not fully capitalize on its potential. The world feels somewhat static, and interactions are limited to what is necessary for progression. This keeps the experience focused but also prevents it from feeling as dynamic or reactive as more fully developed stealth titles. Despite these issues, the game manages to deliver a consistent and approachable experience. Its blend of stealth and light puzzle-solving creates a steady rhythm that can be satisfying in shorter sessions. The idea of combining investigation with infiltration gives it a distinct angle, even if it is not explored as deeply as it could be. In the end, Thief’s Riddles is a modest but coherent stealth experience that offers a mix of infiltration and puzzle-solving without overcomplicating its design. It succeeds in providing a clear and accessible gameplay loop, though it is held back by repetition and limited depth. For players looking for a straightforward, low-pressure stealth game, it can be an enjoyable diversion, even if it doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Rating: 6/10

buggy and incomplete. There are areas where you fall out of the map and I mean it's cool but I would not recommend.
