The Whisperer in Darkness

Not a game but a visual telling of the HP Lovecraft story "the Whisperer in the Darkness" Well thought out concept and some of the art was fantastic. The "game" parts are quite cumbersome to the flow of the story. Overall though i was happy!

A more or less accurate retelling of the Lovecraft short story, let down by some ASCII style gameplay that really adds NOTHING to the narrative (if anything it drains tension from game that a straight up narrative approach might have maintained), and some kinda iffy artwork (yeah, yeah, it's totally subjective; I get that...) So, it's not perfect, but it'll only take ~half an hour of your time, and the original story is a classic for a reason, so this game is mildly recommended. Not bad but not great either.

I hadn't read the original story from HPL in so long that this was a nice "enhanced" refresher of the story (with some modernized elements). Not technically a "game", but definitely worth the hour I spent completing it.

Everyone needs a little Lovecraft in their lives, and in this age of computers and staring blankly at glowing screens while the world unknown passes by with our every fleeting breath, this, is a very good introduction to the worlds of the Cthulhu Mythos. Well done says I. Now, go and read the other stories.

Definately worth the price. A very interesting story with great audio and art. Loved the ambiance but the segments wereyou did get to play forced you to move a bit slow for my taste, other then the scene where you hold the flashlight. That was spooky as heck. Overall loved it and would love to see more!!!

Short but sweet. Good adaptation.

It had been a while since a game had made me feel something. Even if it's a little short, it's intense and well polished. The author made a great work adapting the story. Totally worth it!
