The Wheel of Fortune

The wheel of fortune is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a VN in the best way possible, a parody of itself and the genre and a breath of fresh air as far as dating sims go. While your "harem" is limited to only 3 options there's still plenty to enjoy. There's also the RNG element of the literal wheel of your fortune spinning before each day starts so besides testing the MCs luck you can also test your own. All in all it is a great comedy experience and is fully worth the price.

After reading this I never want to go near the Balkans--It males Appalachia look like Paradise. The main character is sad and clueless. He has too many excuses and is too dependent on luck. Hence the name of the game. If he got off the computer and interacted with real people this could have been a good harem game. If you have a cruel sense of humor the main character is funny.

Welcome to the wheel of fortune a game that has a main menu that reminds me of dangonrupa. Which saddly the game is not full of murder and evil bears but one very sad man and the life around him. So to get to the good part the songs are good and fitting and the art is all hand drawn which I am a sucker for because good hand drawn art is always nice to look at. but if this sounds like im shifting around alot its because i want to get to the main issue but i want to leave this with a its good everything is up to code and i recommend but there is one thing that gets me. That being the main character, in my game he is named Geoff but Jesus Christ i have never wanted to take a character behind a shed and unload 2 12g slugs into the back of his unsuspecting head. Like this isnt a of mice and men moment where "look at the sun set Lenny" this is "hey geoff look an eagle" pop pop kinda moment. the reason I say this is because the character you play is a loser and essentially what most people believe every person on 4chan/8chan is like. firmly believing that they are all basement dwellers that are single and live with there parents. but this has left me playing the worlds most nonredeemable / unlikable character as you dont play some normal guy that hangs on 4chan hes like the cancer of 4chan. So everything is good but i just want to beat the main character with a baseball bat so badly. Truly, a reflection of the Balkan lifestyle. This visual novel will immerse you in the everyday Balkan struggles together with three girls (BTW Niko best girl<3) who all reflect a facet of the Balkan mindset. With great comedy, characters and a wheel of fortune that reflects the unfairness of life, I think this is as good as we could've gotten for the first Croatian VN ever.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were alone with 3 beautiful girls, each unique. then this is the right game for you. you might even get sum. I actually didn't, but that doesn't surprise me. Rly fun one hand game ;)

My first VN and it was amazing!

The Wheel of Fortune is a passion project visual novel and it's very dear to me. It's also a parody of eroge tropes and cliches but it brings something unique to the table itself, as well. The story is set somewhere in the Balkans and it's very relatable to the people's experiences like living in a small town or having goals which are very hard to achieve. The main character Ivica is a cool character. He is supposed to be a player's self-insert and you can freely change his name but I enjoyed the game more leaving it Ivica by default. He lives in a small town with his parents and news of his brother's marriage threaten to soon change his status quo. Jobless, he goes outside and as luck would have it meets K-man, another character, inspired by a Yugoslav folk singer star. From there on out his life changes. The game is a love letter to Kemal Malovčić and his music. I could listen to it for days and almost all of the music loops in the game are great and they perfectly sound the situations or scenes they're in. The character designs are sweet. I have played a lot of visual novels with a lot of different art styles and The Wheel of Fortune has neither the best nor the worst. The 3 main heroines are my favorite part of this game. They're well-established characters and the author really knows how to write amusing dialogue with them. My least favorite character was Niko because she gave off a tsundere vibe a little bit too much while other girls seemed like the girls I've met in my life. The game has a very unique system with the wheel of fortune. Every day your luck will be chosen for you. If you have excellent luck something amazing will happen or if you get terrible luck... you know, But no matter what luck you get I still think you can achieve happiness i.e. see the ending of a girl's route if you make correct decisions which I guess is a message in itself: "We're all gonna make it." The jokes are peak internet humor as well and the game was genuinely funny as a parody as well. My favorite part of the game was the drinking night around the table. It felt a lot of fun and it reminded me of after-school drinking times and having fun at parties, where everyone is relaxed and having fun. The dialogue there was so natural and the music was a perfect choice. I honestly started loving this game after that scene. Except some minor bugs I had no issues with the game. It's pretty straightforward most of the time although getting all of the achievements was a cursed experience, but even so, definitely worth it. The art in hentai scenes is drawn by a different artist so it was a bit jarring at first but the scenes were really passionate and hot as well. All artists who worked on this game deserve praise. Besides this, I think that one part in the "Balkan Dream" ending needs to be changed - the fact that Ivica never contacted the girls after what had happened. He just seemed like a character who would care for other people and what they're doing no matter what happened. Final thoughts: There's so much more to say about this game. I wish I could forget the experience just so I could read it all over again. I don't have a favorite heroine, they're all great.
