This is a visual novel/ dating sim in which you play as a pretty typical "loser" and actually get the chance to date one of three girls. The writing and translation are both pretty good and I overall had a pretty good time reading through the story. There are a few choices that decide what girl you pursue and if you get the good or bad ending with the girl. This gives the game a bit of replayability, but it also really isnt hard to figure out what choice are the correct ones. The game is also pretty short with it taking around 3-4 hours to read through once and then a little extra depending on how many of the other routes you decide to look at. The overall quality is pretty decent, but the art, especially the character models could have been done a bit better. The adult content of this game is two sex scenes per girl when you get their good endings, but I definitelly wouldnt buy the game for them, but just see them as a little extra to the cute romance story. I especially quite liked the tsundere girl. What I didnt really understand is the point of the wheel of fortune, cause the game shows you a few times what kind of luck you currently have, but it isnt like that actually does anything to the gameplay or whatever. Since thats the name of the game I would have expected it to have more of a relevancy, but I mean it also didnt really matter, cause the dating sim part of the game which is for sure the main focus is quite good. Edit: After reading the storepage again, I found out that apparently the wheel of fortune does actually influence the story. I dont exactly know how and I also dont think it is too much cause I mostly had bad luck, but still got all the good routes without having to try multiple times, but now the name makes sense and it is an interesting addition even though I am not sure I am a fan of having a luck based factor in a VN. Overall I can recommend the game if you want to play a short dating sim that has a pretty typical story structure, but some nice story elements, but dont expect the game to be super special or unique and if you dont mind how the art looks, just look at the store screenshots and you have a good idea how the art in the game looks. The greatest Balkan game there is. If you wish to experience life from the point of view of single, horny young adult from Balkan, this is a game for you. You will find yourself swept away by details such as Pripizdina Express and a laptop filled with files titled 'Kazne' as you play the game that puts you between romancing a balkanesque anime waifu and mostly bad luck that the titular wheel gives you. A stroke of genius, I only wish it had Croatian option because I wonder which of the three romancable waifus would speak in dialect from Zagorje. 11 out of 10
Full disclosure: I've reviewed this game for the Croatian gaming portal FFA.hr here. This is a shortened English version of that review. I also ended up in the credits of the game as a consultant, but have not contributed to the game directly. The Wheel of Fortune is a visual novel with dating sim elements. While the structure is fairly typical, what separates it from the rest is the setting and presentation. You play as a depressing NEET loser who needs to turn his life around as soon as possible to avoid a fate worse than death - living with his parents beyond his thirties. Due to (un)lucky circumstances, the protagonist finds himself stuck in a hot springs with three ladies. Depending on your choices, you can charm a waifu of your choice and get a good or bad end. All of this is set somewhere in the Balkans, a rather exotic setting for the VN genre. It is unashamedly satirical and cynical, with many in-jokes and references to the Balkan lifestyle and cultural context. However, because the characters are charming and the plot fully aware how silly it can get, it blends into a nice, entertaining mix. The core mechanic is the Wheel of Fortune itself. It spins every in-game night and determines the chance of random events the following day. Excellent luck can unlock fanservice scenes if the right choice is made, while terrible luck might severely lower your chances of a dialogue option. This actually ties into the protagonist's plot and worldview, and makes replays slightly more engaging if you don't savescum. H-scenes are present and vary in quality, but the art is overall decent. Considering this is a one-man project, it is really surprising how well it holds up. The music is all remixes of turbofolk songs and really draws you in, especially if this setting is completely foreign to you. If you're looking for something short, funny and sweet, it's pretty alright. Basically, Aya is the best waifu. #dealwithit
Absolutely amazing experience this game!!! The main character eerily reminds me of my older brother! Lol! But that is probably just a coincidence. This is a MUST BUY if you are READY to obtain some deep insight into the brain of an internet raised sexually depraved matriarchally ruled mega-relatable Balkan Male™.
This game depicts the traumatizing experience that is called Dating Balkan Woman
Funny and relatable! The game had me laughing from the first to the last line.
This game is one of the best visual novel games I played, Balkan style. Looking for every possible reference in dialogue or symbol of things in each frame that is normal in our culture is really fun and surprising. I'm not a big fan of that kind of music, but in this game, it is really suitable, and I like the choice of each track. The girls have great characteristics, and it's difficult to choose between them. But the best girl is definitely Niko, I'm not usually into the Tsundere type, but I really like her and her story overall. The story is great, the artwork is good, I enjoyed playing the game. Greetings from Zagreb. Živio Ivica!
"The hotel was damaged during the war" "Which war?" "The last one" The humor really sells this game. While non-Balkan people may miss some of the jokes, The Wheel of Fortune is a must for all Balkaneers. For foreigners, this game can definitely be a good Balkans trial (I can't promise they will meet waifus if they come here tho) The story is simple but fun and believable. The turbofolk music definitely sells the atmosphere. The artstyle is a bit crude at times but it definitely feels like it's made with real love! Overall, I am very glad to have bought this title!

Pros: 1. On the store page, it says it's a parody and that is correct. It's a satire basing itself on a near 30 year old virgin who still lives with his parents, is outclassed by his successful younger brother, having arguments on the internet, looking at anime tits, and with an extensive backlog of visual novels. The great thing about this is that it's self aware while being a good blend of humor and maintaining its identity. It doesn't deviate from its story nor does it overwhelm you with a barrage of jokes, it does it just right. The story itself is as stated above, but you get some luck as you get to meet your favorite music artist which results in getting hooked up with a small one time job, which then ends you up in a resort with 3 lovely girls; Aya, Miki, and Niko. How your luck goes and what you do is all up to you whether you stay in your sorry lifestyle or make some immediate changes. This visual novel is not called "The Wheel of Fortune" for nothing, it actually does use a wheel of fortune, determining your luck. Getting poor luck makes the day not go as planned and with high luck, your day goes well. Sometimes it's not all about the choices you make, and you have to keep that in mind. 2. Some of the characters are forgettable such as J-kun, K-man, and Dad; but most of the characters work well and I found to be quite charming in a way. Aya is your standard large busted beauty, a bit of an airhead and maybe of a romantic herself, seems like the type of girl to have her life figured out. Miki is that one girl most of us desire, that gamer girl who shares a lot of the same interests as we do, definitely someone to get along with easily. There's Niko, a stereotypical representation of a tsundere, it can be annoying but even the game is aware of that and it works in its favor. There is your mother, is who extremely annoying and gets on your nerves every minute, this sounds like a negative thing, but it too works for the story's favor, mainly in Niko's route. Dodo is K-man's cousin and honestly was an entertaining individual, with his hyperactivity and ambitions, but with the technological knowledge of a potato, he was a fun character to witness in the short amount of time we saw him. Lastly, there is you. You are pathetic, but not dense. You have had so much bad luck that you've become used to it. These characters were fun to see and all had their unique scenes for us to get to know them more or leave an impact on the story. 3. I don't see this frequently, but for a story to rely on the luck you get is definitely a unique thing. At first, I thought it was just a scripted event, but in multiple playthroughs, it was actually a necessary tool.
Say on the day you use the claw machine, you got a Terrible luck result on your wheel, you'd obviously lose that claw machine event. If you were to get an Excellent result on the wheel, you'd win most of the prizes and earn respect from each girl.
This also becomes absolutely necessary if you want to get the Balkan end, or if you're just lucky. 4. The art for the girl sprites and CGs are cute in their own alluring way, with R18 CG scenes by DreadfulEnchanted being pleasantly tasteful featuring different events and positions. 5. The music was surprising to me, in the description it says that it is sampled from Yugoslavian folk music for the BGM and I have to say, it does work extremely well. It fits in well with the setting AND does a great job at making the scenes they are placed in much more emotional such as the "Confusion" track playing when you accidentally peep on someone changing or showering, or even just the every day life at the resort. The music during the sex scenes is kind of cheesy but it does the job in being a sensual track that helps a moment of bonding. I also enjoy that you can play the music in the main menu but also supplies you links to the original songs sampled via Youtube Music. Cons: 1. The pacing does feel a bit quick as at best your interaction with Aya and Miki are about 4 days (counting prologue) and Niko about 3 days if you don't go her route. Is it enough time to get to know the girls well? Miki, most likely. Aya, maybe if you're lucky and make right choices. Niko's character gets deeper when you go her route, but doesn't evoke enough intention to actually want to start something with her, even though I do like her character. 2. You, the protagonist and mother can be the most annoying characters in the entire game, aside from maybe Niko. The protagonist is super pathetic, even though it does become utilized for the story, it does take some getting used to. The same goes for mother, she can be extremely demanding and aggravating, but this also works for the story's favor in Niko's route, it also takes some getting used to. J-kun, K-man, and Dad's characters also support the story in some way, but they essentially don't possess much of a personality and can become forgettable in the long run. 3. The wheel of fortune feature is pretty neat I must say, but if you want a good end and your luck is god awful, you gotta work for it. As the game says, you can try as many times as you want, and that is what you do, save scum and repeat for that Excellent. It does become kind of a chore. Conclusion: The Wheel of Fortune is honestly an entertaining and funny adult VN that is a parody of the desperate weeaboo nearing 30 stereotype. It handles it well and knows when to pull or throw its comedic punches at you. Score: 7/10 GOOD
Pretty amazing. I got hooked really fast, probably because I'm the target audience (Croatian loser weeb that hangs out on forums). It was funny, the turbofolk awesome (I really, really loved the drinking scenes! And the music with it). I got most of the jokes and references (K-man, LMAO). The MC was a little too pathetic (it kind of got old and annoying fast), but I forgive him, he's 30 and living with his parents after all. And the girls were quite cute (and tricky to get!). Also had some fun with trying to get as many endings as possible, and the unique "Wheel of Fortune" mechanic is interesting. Roll bad luck, and you might wake up too late and skip a scene without even knowing it (and miss out on fanservice). Or a girl might randomly reject you when you've flirted with her all game. And also of course it plays a role with what ending you'll get, too. The art is good enough, it's not amazing, the H-scenes are a little less polished than the rest of the game (but they're still fine, and that part is just "the cherry on the top", it's not too important). There is about 3-5 hours of gameplay here, less if you only want a single playthrough, or more if you get lost in the save files and want to get all achievements. The writing is good enough as well, or at least the jokes and the characters are enough to carry it! But what I loved the most is the soundtrack, the overall vibe, and the small pieces of wisdom and life-philosophy we glimpse along the way... BIG RECOMMEND
