A horrid waste of time. Even for a point and click game, it's boring. So simple that it feels like a childs game, but it's not for children, and it's DEFINITELY not for ANYONE who wears glasses. The worst part about this game, is the blasted music. Whoever put that garbage on a loop owes me money for pain and suffering.
The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan & the 12 Jewels, developed by Mzone Studio and published by M.INDIE, is a casual adventure title that reinterprets Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale through a combination of hidden object gameplay and light puzzle-solving. It follows the journey of d’Artagnan as he leaves his hometown and becomes entangled in court intrigue, gradually crossing paths with the legendary musketeers and stepping into a larger conflict involving loyalty, deception, and royal secrets. While the narrative foundation is strong thanks to its source material, the game itself approaches the story in a simplified, gameplay-first manner. The core experience is built around hidden object sequences, where players explore various locations and search for specific items scattered throughout each scene. These segments form the backbone of progression, occasionally interrupted by small puzzles or basic interactive sequences designed to add variety. The mechanics are straightforward and easy to understand, making the game highly accessible even for players with little experience in the genre. There is little need for complex problem-solving, as most challenges revolve around observation and patience rather than strategy. As the game progresses, the structure remains largely consistent. Each new chapter introduces a different setting or situation, but the underlying gameplay loop changes very little. This predictability makes it easy to follow, but it also leads to a sense of repetition, particularly during longer play sessions. While the changing environments provide some visual variety, they do not significantly alter how the game is played. The experience relies heavily on the player’s enjoyment of its core mechanic, which may limit its appeal for those seeking more dynamic or evolving gameplay. Narratively, the game draws from a rich and well-known story, but its adaptation feels condensed and somewhat surface-level. Key characters and events are present, but they are introduced and resolved quickly, without much depth or development. Dialogue and story segments serve more as transitions between gameplay sections rather than fully immersive storytelling moments. As a result, the narrative feels more like a framework supporting the puzzles rather than a central focus of the experience. Visually, the game offers a functional presentation that supports its hidden object design. Scenes are detailed enough to allow players to locate items, and the environments attempt to reflect a historical setting. However, the overall aesthetic lacks polish, with limited animation and a somewhat dated look that prevents it from standing out. The interface is simple and easy to navigate, ensuring that players can move through the game without confusion, but it does little to enhance immersion. The inclusion of mini-games and occasional action-inspired moments adds some variation, but these segments are generally brief and uncomplicated. They provide a short break from the hidden object sequences but do not significantly expand the gameplay. In many cases, they feel more like optional diversions than meaningful additions, contributing to a pacing that can feel uneven at times. Despite its limitations, the game succeeds in delivering a straightforward and approachable experience. It is clearly designed for players who enjoy casual puzzle games and are looking for something easy to pick up and play. Its simplicity allows for relaxed gameplay, making it suitable for short sessions or for those who prefer low-pressure challenges. However, this same simplicity also prevents it from offering the depth or engagement needed to leave a lasting impression. Ultimately, The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan & the 12 Jewels is a modest adaptation that captures the outline of its source material without fully bringing its world or characters to life. It provides a consistent and accessible puzzle experience, but its repetitive structure and limited narrative depth hold it back from achieving something more memorable. For players interested in casual hidden object games, it offers a serviceable experience, though it remains firmly within the boundaries of its genre. Rating: 6/10

Yes, I recommend this game, but only if you enjoy this particular genre. It is not HdO's best effort, however.
too bad, unfortunately
One of the best Hidden Object games. Play in Classic mode.
