The game lasts about 30 minutes. What I liked: - some cool alien lights. - some mild spookiness being in the woods at night. What I didn't like: - Dead dog. - No option to turn off head bob and the camera effects. they are disorienting and mad me motion sick, - No story to speak of. You walk around for a bit, the game teleports you to the next scene without context for dialogue. rinse and repeat. Some of the "story beats" are just copying fears to fathom ironbark lookout. - Looks like all generic assets. - Very lackluster and lazy jump scare finish with the "aliens" for 2 frames. They look very generic and more like trolls. my playthru: https://youtu.be/Gf-H3tTLx_0
7/10 – I went in hunting UFOs and left questioning my life choices (and every tree ever). The vibes? Immaculate dread. The tapes? Juicy. The woods? Absolutely not. Every twig snap had me drafting my will. Camera gets a little blurry at distance, but up close it captures my fear in stunning HD. Spooky, mysterious, beam-me-up energy. 👽📼🌲 Follow for shaky cams, alien panic, and games that make trees legally suspicious lifeforms. 👽✨ https://store.steampowered.com/curator/42602807-Osiris-Reviews/
Sadly I can't recommend this game. $10 is a STEEP price to be asking for a 60min indie horror game. I have played HUNDREDS of indie horror titles, and especially for the price, this game just does not hold up. It's a bunch of disjointed "tapes" that randomly teleport you between scenes with very little story going on. I mean, the first "Tape" lasts all of 60 seconds and has you enter and then immediately exit a gas station lol. Outside of that nitpicking, the game is boring and has too little going on. The settings menu is BAREBONES and offers no basics like sensitivity, or even confirmation that you setting selections are applied. The chromatic aberation and headbobbing are nauseating and cannot be turned off. The game also bugged on me in the last tape. I
allowed myself to get caught by the drone
but it didn't end the game as it should have. I had to restart to have that work, so I spent 20+ mins running around aimlessly in a dark forest. Overall, I wanted to like this game. I love alien-themed horror. But this just wasn't it. Especially for the price.
Completed the game, going through about 10 tapes. Not sure if i found any secret levels. Its a super cool and mysterious realistic horror alien game where you journey along unsettling dark and sunny beautiful forest landscapes in search of UFO's and strange tall aliens. The game is full of magic, super trippy and i give it a 10/10 for its alien grooves
I wish there was a middle thumb, I'm going up but I'm weary about it. There's no resolution settings, no headbob or motion blur, no audio settings just quality. You'll just walk a bit to the next scene and that's it. no puzzles It plays fine and is well optimized but that's mainly because there's not much going on. There are 2 extra levels if you find the hidden tapes, which I did not. Honestly, I'd wait for a sale, it seems a bit pricy for what you get Full Playthrough: https://youtu.be/6QBRg7bJXxs
Short game, but good. This game does a great job of making you want to jump out of your skin. Definitely hoping for some expansions in the future.
别买!Do Not Buy This ♥♥♥♥!!
I feel like there is a huge lack of settings customization in this. The character movement felt jarring. I want to be as constructive as possible, the game doesn't run well. I don't have a bad system, but I had to run on low for a good majority of the game, which led to an extremely high saturation look, missing textures, etc. I also had Unreal Engine debug messages in the top left of the game. A game that looks like this should not be struggling with 32 gigs of ram, a 3070, and a Ryzen 7 9800x3d. I crashed 3 times in my playthrough Furthermore, as far as the gameplay goes, I don't think this is very creative. You are walking around, maybe like 2 unique locations. The story is nothing new, it feels like other alien games I can just find on Itch or even just on steam. It just feels empty, and unoriginal. If I am going to spend 10 dollars on an indie game, I want to see something unique, whether it be a unique story, gameplay, whatever. But this game feels incredibly safe, and like most other games in the current wave of horror media.
100% not worth $10 for this thing. Was really cool and atmospheric until
they crushed my car with a dinner plate with LED lights on it
there is also no story and i have no interest to even try and go look for those secret tapes to see if they explain it.
