The Struggle of Combat

First saw this game on itch with free discount so I decided to check it out and it was so painstakingly difficult and fun at the same time. I thought it was gonna be one of those scuffed scratch games that was made in 1 week but it's much more than that. Only wished that it is much more consistent for example, the keys, they are so annoying to find because you have to kill a boss like 10 times just to get one and then you'd still have to either beat the boss again or risk dying just to reach the box and get the pass.Another example is the Arena, for some reason they only spawn when I have they key and NEVER when I'm trying to look for them like DAM this game is such a pain in the arse. Please check out and play this game it's super underrated.

Don't get scared by the graphics! Not gonna lie first I thought: "Oh another free game via email." BUTT! It's good, it's fun: Great mechanics, there is storytelling (yes), love the sounddesign, multiple weapons, skills and so on. Price? Worth. Better game than Cyberpunk 2077 in release or some movies in the theater.

Steam漁って偶々この良ゲーを見つけた君、おめでとう。 ありそうで意外と少ないサイドビューで、ローグライク(ノーマルだと同じステージで2回死んだら終了でハードだとワンミスで終了)のツインスティックシューター。 近接武器は固定だが、遠距離武器(２つまで所持可能)は豊富に有り、武器の取捨選択の戦略性が面白い。 また、連続で撃てる弾薬数に限りがあるので、割とマメにリロードしなければならない。そのリロードのタイミングも戦略性があって良い感じだ。 ステージクリア時にはパッシブ能力を一つだけ選択/購入できるのもローグライクのお約束。 ーーー総評ーーー グラフィックはシンプルだがローグライクの面白さは詰まっている良作なのでオススメです。 セール時は145円で販売されているけど、定価の価値は十二分に有る。

Amazing roguelite! I was scared at first because the graphics seemed a little cheap. This game exceeded my expectations! The combat is smooth and fun. The weapon variety is exceptional and the monsters are unique. The difficulty increased at a fair rate. All in all, the game was fun to play! Can't wait to play some more and try to beat it

Es un buen juego que es simple, es pasar los niveles, eso sí los niveles cambian de enemigos y ambientación, haciéndolo entretenido además de que irás desbloqueando personaje que cambien la jugabilidad debido a sus habilidades especiales durante el transcurso del tiempo.

The Struggle of Combat is a charming 2D Roguelike with randomly generated levels, a bunch of characters to unlock, and can be finished in one sitting. Each of the characters has their own special ability, but there's not much that really sets them apart from any of the others. Unlocking them can be a bit difficult due to the requirements often being a successful defeat of a boss without any deaths. There are a lot of weapons, but I unlocked only a handful in an hour of play. The reload time for weapons is horrendous, and even with getting upgrades that lower the reload time it felt far too much. Aside from that I overall had fun with it and think if you like roguelikes and want a fairly simple experience this would be worth picking up.

It's fun. Kind of brings me back to the Newgrounds or Miniclip days, with it's simple art style. It has multiple playable characters, though it seems (though potentially I'm missing some mechanics) that the difference is their abilities, and the guns they get are universal, and drop randomly from enemies. The weapons have different levels too, so you're incentivized to swap weapons occasionally (though I still had my preferences). If you enjoy action sidescrolling rogues, then I'm sure you'll find something here enjoyable. It's fairly priced as well, and obviously can run on practically anything. I'd say check it out, it's not going to blow your mind but it's challenging and engaging enough to be a fun little game, and once again, for the price you don't have a lot to lose.
