The Skin Stapler

A retro horror detective game about a serial killer who rips the skin off his victims and staples it to the walls. Pros: - Very interesting story - Nice atmosphere and overall vibe - Amazing music - Unique ways of killing victims by the skin stapler - I really enjoyed the simulation sections, especially the hot dog shift - Easy achievements that can all be completed in a single playthrough Cons: - The same minigames are repeated again and again - In some chapters, the voice acting is a little rough - There is no save system, and you have to select the chapter you were playing every time you start the game. Also, every chapter is available from the beginning. - The puzzles are extremely simple and offer almost no challenge Overall: 7.5/10 The Skin Stapler is a solid experience and definitely worth the price if you enjoy this type of game. It's not a very long game — it took me roughly 3 hours to finish — but it also has fairly easy achievements for achievement hunters. I have to say that the game isn't scary at all, but I wouldn't really count that as a con, since the main attraction is the mysterious serial killer, the detective story, and figuring out what is going on. Overall, I had a good time with it and would recommend it to fans of short, atmospheric horror games with a detective/mystery focus.

Размах на рубль, удар на копейку. Честно, когда проходил демку, то игра нереально зашла: клише реплики главного героя, чёрный юмор, а стиль самой игры так вообще отвал всего! Но вот игра вышла, и ожидания не оправдались. По правде говоря, это никакой не хоррор, тут нет пугающих моментов. Атмосфера есть, это абсолютно, свой собственный грязный, но такой подходящий стиль тоже присутствует, но это никакой не хоррор, максимум — триллер. Также хотелось бы отметить юмор, который действительно работает, моментами он мегакринжовый, о чём сам говорит автор, но он рабочий. Эту игру честно рекомендовал бы по очень большой скидке, потому что изначальные ожидания мистики, детектива не оправдались. Чего стоит только вертеть предмет (в основном кожу) в руках и искать части монеты, записок и т. д. Скукота! Автору желаю вдохновения и провести работу над ошибками. В конце, как я понял, обозначили клиффхенгер, ну вот и поглядим, что будет.

I think the game was ok. I'm a fan of film noir styled stuff, so the aesthetic of this was definitely up my alley, but there's some parts I just felt annoyed about. First, I felt like the game was very on-rails, there wasn't any challenge to it and I barely had any control over what was going on. Second issue I had was the humor, I get the whole "B-rated horror" aspect and that's it's comedy/horror, I liked the puns, I liked the 1-liners, but the amount of vulgar jokes related to ♥♥♥♥♥ and poop was a little too much for me, a couple times is fine, but the amount they did it just became a turn off. Even with these complaints, I don't think the game is bad, and I'll admit the story did start to bring me in around the end, plus with how they had an "introductory offer", I got to play this for 12 bucks instead of 15, and I think that's pretty ok for the price. If you wanna play it yourself, I still say it's pretty nice to go through, but keep in mind, you'll pretty much 100% the game in 3.5 hours, so if you don't think that's worth the price, I guarantee you any of the streamers who voice acted in this probably has a full playthrough you could watch

its fine the humours funny enough but got boring after a while. gameplay was repetitive with little story changes during the first half of the game better than massacre at the mirage but still lacking in any substance outside of characters and the villian would reccomend on sale or bundled not on its own if ur a completionist as all but one achievement is story related
