quite good
A great game with an amazing unique art style. I have really been enjoying playing through The Siege of Jeomdo, you can really tell the creators are passionate about their work. The writing has managed to make me terrified that I had made the wrong decisions as early as the first battle and the amount of effort that has been put into all of the art work is truly impressive.
Really good. Incredible writing that properly immerses you in the feelings the protagonist is going through, a believable cast of characters and a well written story.
Hey, this is pretty neat! Heartfelt and satisfying. I've been into gaming since I was a toddler. I'm over 40 now, and one thing that age has had me noticing is how underrepresented older or elderly lead characters are in RPGs. It's actually really novel to me to have a protagonist with great depth of knowledge, experience, and history, but who is long past being an action hero. I was made to feel like the choices I made had satisfying consequences, and they weren't always so simple as just "You must pick path X or path Y! Choose, now now!". The cast of characters is largely endearing, and I really *wish* I were able to save everyone. It is fairly short. I just finished my playthrough, and Steam says I've got three hours. Even so, they were a very satisfying three. Also, the third act felt slightly rushed compared to the first two, and it was the only time I experienced choice bugs/continuity errors. Fortunately those can get addressed!
Fun visual novel / management experience with consequences to your decisions. Played the demo some year(s?) back and enjoyed, and the full game delivered on what I expected from that.
A game that manages to touch me to the point of making me cry is a great game. This is a great game. Amazing character work.
A fresh take on a visual novel. I'm at the edge of my seat for some of the choices. It had me feeling quite emotional after the first battle. Is it joever for Jeomdo? Or can I save them?
Not even Sertraline could stop me from crying, that was beautiful. And hard. I messed up so bad, sorry Jeomdo, I'll do better next time ;-;
A really beautiful text-based adventure. Great story. My only complaint, albeit minor, is that the end credits descriptions of people's fates don't seem to entirely make sense depending on your choices - a couple of mine referenced the post-game actions of people who were already dead.
Fyi saving every character in the credit is possible. Ty Hip sword for the game.
