The Sibling Experiment is not a game, it's an e-book ("Visual novel" is another term that writers use when trying to disguise an e-book as a game) that's been launched on Steam as a game, despite not being one. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which presents the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. There's a vacuous, dross plot in this e-book about people switching into other people's bodies so they can try having different siblings. So it's not even a good or interesting topic for an e-book. What a waste of people's time. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing (because if these guys could write professionally, they'd be published authors and this would be on shelves in bookstores, and they wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam), and you have your average Steam e-book. While this is free, it's bad, and badly written. A basic requirement for me to recommend games to people is that they have to be games... and this e-book isn't a game at all. My gaming rig is not a Kindle. If you're on Steam but not looking for games, but are looking for free, high quality, well written e-books, Project Gutenberg has literally thousands, all much better than this.
A visual novel take on the body-swapping type films, it's both interesting and a pain at the same time, as it can plod along at a fairly slow pace. None of characters are particularly endering, and whilst they fix their own faults at the end, there isn't really much to like about them before then. Completing it once, I don't really think you'll want play it again. However, being free, it should really be checked out. Update : Did finally get around to Jazz's story. It's probably the weaker of the two as the story skips a bit too much detail especially near the end. And some of the English in this part is a bit dodgy...

Pretty good visual novel, the story was quite interesting. Dunno why it has mixed review, for a free VN, I can't complain.
!ACHIEVEMENT HUNTERS BEWARE! Game currently has broken achievements that unlock in game but don't register on Steam. Seems the developer has no plans on fixing know issues. Will update review once developer fixes Issue/bug.
