The Shadow People is a retro point and click horror adventure game with a minimalistic aesthetic. As a student cramming for finals, you drive all the way to school, sit through class, and try to slog your way back home. But fatigue sets in, and dark creatures dance in the edge of your eyesight.

Sounds like a cool concept of a game, and WOULD play it, but it keeps crashing on me, which is unfortunate.
Gratuit, court et intriguant.

Short and free game on steam, about an hour or two long at most to get all endings. Apart from that, my personal feedback is to remove the nine buttons of possible actions and instead replace them with only "look" and "use" since the rest serve very little purpose and sometimes ruins the immersion of the story. You can also change the "move" display to have arrows instead of blobs. Overall, decent game if you have time to kill, and if this is your first game, then good work!
Loved it. Very similar to the NES classic "Shadowgate" and really engaging!
Amazing for a free game. The Shadow People is great for when you want a quick, laid back Puzzle-Horror game. The game had some descent atmosphere, a nice retro style, and a small amount of mystery with it.
Игра "The Shadow People" – жутковатый, но увлекательный опыт.
Intriguing free horror puzzle adventure made in the style of an old monochrome IBM fixed screens game with a strong lovecraftian flavor to it. It's very short but multiple endings requiring missable items encourage repeat playthroughs. The presentation is quite effective with spooky music and visuals, even though some of the creature designs don't go beyond simple stickmen, betraying the influence of childish internet creepypastas that the game would be better off without. The interface is a bit clunky, using a Lucasarts-style verb system for the actions (some of which are never used), which sometimes just refuses to respond. Implementing the mouse wheel for action switching would have made everything much smoother. It's also somewhat crash prone, so saving frequently is advised. Still an interesting playthrough for horror fans.
