The Saint

What a journey it's been. I enjoyed going through some game-breaking bugs and contributing to the process to get it to where it's currently at. It's a short and sweet horror game. An estimation for those that don't get stuck will get about 2 hours of some good atmosphere and on occasion really good scares. Some decisions are still really strange to me and on occasion I feel like assets are thrown together to make it serviceable, but in the end I enjoyed what I played, has a good message (that I felt can be explored a bit more), and a genuine attempt by the dev to make this work; especially with how quickly they responded with feedback. Damn that Saint guy.

The Saint is a short but memorable psychological horror experience set in a cursed forest. From the beginning, the atmosphere pulls you in, dark, unsettling, and immersive without relying on cheap tricks. What really stood out to me was the story and its message. It touches on disturbing beliefs, how some people think they can gain power through sacrificing children—which adds a very real and uncomfortable layer to the horror. That makes the experience feel deeper than just a typical scary game. The game doesn’t rely on spammy or repetitive jumpscares, which I really appreciated. Instead, it builds tension naturally and keeps you engaged through its world and narrative. It’s not a long game, but for what it offers, it’s a solid and unique horror experience. Definitely worth playing if you enjoy psychological horror.

No lo recomiendo. La idea y la ambientación pintan bien, pero la ejecución se cae bastante. La narrativa es lentísima y está llena de relleno que no aporta nada, solo alarga el juego artificialmente. Además, las pantallas de transición son desesperantes (llegué a esperar casi un minuto en un cambio), lo que rompe completamente la tensión. Al final, en lugar de miedo, te quedas aburrido y desconectado. Una pena porque tenía potencial. Si lo piensas probar te recomiendo colocar todo el brillo maximo al inicio de juego por que si no luego no lo puedo modificar y es demasiado oscuro ni eso esta bien echo. Si quieren ver mas...
