The Royal Game of Ur is an ancient racing game where players try to get all of their tokens across the board first. 3000 years ago this was one of the most popular board games in the world. Play it yourself to find out why!

Neat little game
Reach back across the ages and play one of the original board games. Graphically very simple, audio is bottom of the barrel. But the game is stable and maintains all the challenge of a decent human opponent. AI makes reasonable choices and is very aggressive at hitting your pieces back to the start. The available rule sets work fine. This is a great trainer for the ancient board game nerd that finds it hard to get real people to practice with. Luckily my kid and I share an interest in ancient games so we both practice with this version then play on a real board against each other.
No Achievements, hidden unlocks......meh.....there are better options. Unlocks shouldn't be hidden, PERIOD!! Easy fix......Still a very fun game.

Better than the British Museum version
This game is honestly pretty good. Very simple of course, but the best games usually are. A friend showed me this game and I wasn't necessarily sure how much I'd like it, however I was pleasantly surprised at just how fun it can really be. True online would be nice, but the Steam remote share is nice too.
The Royal Game of Ur is a simple game to learn with a nice balance of luck and skill. Playing this classic game was a nice history lesson. Also, I personally enjoy dice based board games.
I found this after watching a great YouTube video with Irving Finkel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZskjLq040I) about the ancient real-life counter part of this game. Have to see it is a very fun game to play if you have a few free minutes.
Very good game to play. Easily worth the 3 bucks if you ever get bored or are alone for a while.
not bad, nice 2d graphics and easy enough for a simpleton like me
