The Princess of the Tower Wants a Hero

Good if you like free games with weird stories.

A very short and incredibly cute romantic comedy with elements of parody. As the title suggests, it’s about a princess (named Lumi) who wants a hero! She’s imprisoned in a tower by demons and waits day and night for her savior. Lumi is treated quite well — she even has her demonic butler — but she’s clearly worried that her hero hasn’t arrived yet. One day, someone appears in her room, claiming not to be a hero but a member of the hero’s team. He offered to serve as a distraction so the others could escape and save the princess later. He wants to sneak out and flee at night, but since the outside world is really dangerous, Lumi invites him to stay and wait with her for the long-awaited hero. The new potential roommate is named Cethin, and he’s a dark elf — not exactly the most prestigious race. It’s worth mentioning that this is a pure romance and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Everything that happens is meant to lead Lumi to her future betrothed, and the game isn’t even trying to hide that fact. On the contrary, the clichés are used for comedic effect — and I enjoyed it! At the moment, there’s only one possible route with Cethin, and unfortunately, there probably won’t be any others (even though many players, including me, fell in love with a certain demonkin character...). The story is sweet, and Lumi and Cethin’s relationship feels pure and naturally developed. It should especially appeal to those who like shy and kind male characters who slowly come out of their shells with a little help from the main heroine. Not exactly my type (ahem… someone else DEFINITELY was), but it doesn’t take long to read through the whole story and unlock all the endings. I recommend the game to everyone who enjoys pure romantic stories with a fairy-tale vibe.

Reading this as part of the Fall in Love VN Festival 2025. ✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works fine (29/09/2025). 'A' button to advance text and touchscreen for menu and choices. This otome doesn't even take itself seriously and it ends up being quite funny.

原本對本遊戲只抱一試心態，但是裏面的公主和兩位男角個性越看越討喜，差點因為表面平平的人設和CG錯過了好故事 雖然遊戲有選擇分支但只能追Cethin，所以其實更像電子小說。個人也希望增加管家線，劇透：[spoiler]只是REO協助Cethin特訓讓他打倒自己老大有點怪怪的，因為故事中沒提到他對魔王有什麼感受，不過最後他也有好處，以後整座魔王城都是他的了，公主自由他也自由了(？)。 玩到勇者堅信公主被洗腦時個人超擔心勇者會加害Cethin，幸好成功玩到好結局讓我鬆一口氣。[/spoiler] 劇透： [spoiler]故事是俗套的暖男和公主日久生情，雖然都是熟悉不過的情節及容易猜到發展的小品故事，但整體發展有根有據，感情升溫自然。一開始仿似只會花痴的公主後來時而少女心大發而臉紅，時而以公主氣度給Cethin愛的鼓勵，後來知道Cethin以前是給勇者打雜的沒有鄙視他，只是為他的待遇生氣都很討喜。 在一般情況下公主大人沒可能看上的Cethin，因為在公主最需要陪伴和美食時Cethin都貼心幫她達成心願，雖然他五音不全公主也慢慢接受他。幸好Cethin也為了公主下定決心，最終戰後勇者所以對Cethin沒底氣是Cethin使了小計，我才驚覺Cethin也不是什麼都逆來順受的笨蛋~當時Cethin若不管一切帶著公主逃跑(我在那段也覺得若自己是Cethin我也自私私奔去了，那一幕只覺得Cethin老好人到連勇者也要幫…)，勇者一行人的確只有消耗至盡而死，現在勇者三人活下來，公主和Cethin可光明正大在一起不是皆大歡喜嗎。公主在戰場真的幫不上忙，但若不是在被困時對Cethin釋出善意、收留他、表達感謝、REO責難時挺身維護，Cethin也不會對公主產生愛意，下定決心改變逃避的作風，要勇敢的爭取能堂堂正正和公主成為佳侶的資格吧。 所以公主和Cethin是互相扶持改變了彼此的命運，公主不但獲得人身的自由，也得到了和意中人結合的自由。Cethin也不再是沒有隊伍收容，只能幫勇者做雜務的雜工，不是遇到危險只會逃跑、只能吃軟飯而是自強起來得到和公主結合資格的勇者，這種互相救贖關係是最棒的。 REO能有個人線的話就好了，在Cethin線沒有伏筆下讓他旁觀魔王被殺怪怪的(腹黑點說，Cethin失敗他也沒損失)，若他有個人線的話更想象不到他怎樣和公主在一起了。 或者Cethin協助兩人逃離魔王城之類？最後魔王巳滅，他是唯一生存的魔族嗎？[/spoiler]

I dont usually play games where you can change the hero's name, but this one is so sweet, wholesome and in general i'm so in love with borh MC and the love interest, i highly recomend it to everyone give this game a chance <3
