i have played this game both solo and with friends and it is a great game, would highly recommend this game to play either solo or with friends!
This game has been a lot of fun with friends. As long as you play it straight and see the in game mic and not some other service it creates some amazing moments. It has been one of the few games that has really nailed the paranoid feeling of the world of Cthulhu. Wandering off alone is a bad idea and the systems they have implemented has for exploiting isolation have been so much fun to experience. I don't want to spoil them, you really need to have them happen to you and you will understand:)
Tremendous Potential, can't wait to see where it goes. This is basically an oldschool survival horror game in 4 player with the most interesting sanity loss effects you will see in a game today. It's not for everyone, it's not super polished, and that explains the reviews. But there is nothing like this so it gets my support. I will put a longer review together once I have put more hours in.
Juego divertido y desafiante, con una ambientación excelente y un precio más que correcto.
Absolutely a unique and amazing game. The devs are working hard to fix the major bugs and polish the game to its finest. The atmosphere, gameplay, and sound design are truly unique and outstanding. 100% a must-try.
I love running around as inigo Montoya and getting shanked by spawns of the Lord Cthulhu himself, fr tho this game is fun if you like psychological horror, extraction games and have some buds to sacrifice its peak
Great game to play with friends, always a good laugh
Really good idea for a game, but I think there never was a game that got me so little content for my money. Without a cart you can't arrange your loadout, you need to drop everything, even on the ship. While simple things like putting ammo in the cart is already showing a problem and instead of implementing things like holding the key drops the whole stack you get zombies shooting their roots at you through trees and if you don't have a one-handed weapon equipped you can't do ♥♥♥♥ against it. That's what really grinds my gears, you feel like you're playing a clumsy idiot who's not able to react properly if a zombie jumps at him, at least give me a way to dodge this dumb and annoying animation (which is always the same) and if you (devs) really need this "entangled animation" to be such a nuisance, then please give the game this bit of realism (that it desperately needs) and let me draw a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one-handed weapon like a capable person actually would do. At some point I got the impression that this game was mostly made by AI.
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is an absolute triumph for survival horror fans, masterfully blending punishing multiplayer teamwork with genuine cosmic dread. What Makes It Essential Peak Co-Op Gameplay: Up to four players must carefully manage shared lantern light, tight inventory space, and essential supplies. Proximity voice chat makes every tactical plan—and sudden panic—unforgettable. Oppressive Atmosphere: The game swaps cheap jump scares for slow-burn paranoia. A dynamic Madness System plays tricks on your senses, tricking you with phantom footsteps and hallucinated audio cues as your sanity drains. Equal Parts Fun and Terrifying: Stealthing past unkillable cosmic abominations creates constant risk-versus-reward tension. Narrowly escaping back to camp with a full haul of loot feels immensely satisfying. Endless Replayability: Procedural sectors, unpredictable enemy spawns, base upgrades, and deep progression systems easily pack 50+ hours of terrifying content for a dedicated squad
