game has a really cool concept, atmosphere, and co-op mechanics. but the game at the moment feels really clunky. lack of dodging, blocking, or getting out of reload animations once they start leads to constant chip damage from enemies that can lunge 10 ft towards you in an instant. Difficulty is also always seems to be at 4 player scaling even if you have a smaller party, like overwhelming numbers of enemies that can outrun and outgun you, literally if they spawn with a gun. Along with the exploding tree enemies being able to tank 4+ headshots and then put you to 1hp even through armor with an auto grab. makes it difficult to want to spend tokens on consumables and weapon upgrades for a run when you can die 15 seconds after spawn to unlucky rng enemy spawning or to getting grabbed by enemies through walls so you can't fight back while they drag you through the map. will definitely recommend if some patches smooth out the rough feeling start
Perfect atmosphere & chills with friends. Needs some polish but nothing some updates cant fix.
I honestly love this game. It has great tension, is fun, and I think it does a great job adapting lovecraftian elements. Of course its best done over text but this game does a damn good job!
The only thing that this game needs is a friends list for cross play. I spend 20 minutes each night on PC searching for wife's server on Playstation...
Overall a great game with stunning graphics. If you love Conquistadores, extraction, horror(to some extent, it's more eerie than spooky), co-op, and Cthulhu theme (or even if you don't care much about Cthulhu) this game is the one for you. But if you enjoy more combat oriented game or only play solo, this game will be a huge disappointment. Since this type of game forces you to be stealthy as possible, coordinate with your teammate, it doesn't really suit for those who love combat focused action shooter. When you play solo, you get only one Ai companion who you can't control it's every behavior. That is kind of a letdown for single players. But developers of this game are constantly giving updates and listening to player's feedback. So it's safe to assume that this game will provide more content, interesting mechanism, and advance in Ai command framework. Add to note if you're playing on PC and experiencing a fatalerror popup on the initial launch of this game go to device manager and disable whatever it's on the Neural processor aka Intel AI boost. That should help Unreal engine messing up your game.
it is good. combat takes some getting used to, but when you have a strategy and get going with the game, it is awesome.
YEA I guess ill give it a thumbs up. We run like grandmas and switching weapons is painfully slow. If u get jumped youre pretty much dead. But its fun with others who know what they're doing and if you like looting a scary atmosphere its a decent game.
very nice game it need some improvements but really goodm game i really enjoy playing this with my friends
NEEDS TO BE FIXED. UNABALANCED GLITCHY
Great game and fun to play, but the optimization and frame rate are a big fun killer. min specs with fsr4 in any other game gives me 60 fps locked on low settings. this game I struggle to get over 30. maybe DLSS is significantly better, but for a games min specs to run; not allowing me to even get a consistent 30 is something ive never experienced before.
