I think this game is a wonderfully emotional experience. It helps you to put things into perspective and reflect on your life and what's really important. Also, I think it really helps people who do not suffer from depression to understand what it feels like to be afflicted by this illness, thereby destigmatizing it. Give it a try! It's free and only takes around 15 minutes to complete.
A quiet, powerful experience. The Longest Walk is mechanically simple, you spend around 10–15 minutes walking while listening to a deeply personal monologue, but the emotional impact is anything but small. Hearing the developer’s father speak so openly about living with depression makes this feel intimate, honest, and genuinely touching. It’s not trying to gamify pain or over-dramatize it; it just lets the story exist, and that’s where its strength lies. As a society, we often forget that everyone eventually burns out, collapses, or needs to step back from life for a moment. This game gently reminds us how important it is to talk about that, especially among men, where stigma and fear of appearing “weak” still make opening up incredibly hard. It’s beautiful to see video games used as a tool for awareness and empathy rather than pure entertainment. Visually, I also loved the aesthetic. The scanned, almost photogrammetry-like models (similar to tools like Polycam) give the environments a grounded, personal feel, and it’s a clever approach, especially for small projects or developers without extensive modeling resources. Overall, this is a thoughtful example of how games can be art, conversation starters, and human stories all at once.

I wouldn't change anything about this game, and the fact that it's free and less than 30 minutes to complete means it's a must-play for almost everyone (except people that have never experienced sorrow in their life, I guess).
Damn
short, but beautiful in a somber way
Everyone needs to walk through this story.
this was WOW. So beautifully illustrated and very captivating.
Tough
英语水平不好,看不太懂很多句子。不过游戏整体是作者以他父亲的视角来分享父亲自己的焦虑。还行
Absolutely worth the 10 minutes. Thank you for making this and to your dad for sharing his story.
