The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante: Poder e Revolução The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante é um RPG narrativo no qual somos inseridos em um mundo distópico, no qual toda aquela civilização vive em um sistema de castas muito claro: nobres e plebeus.
This game promises suffering and it delivers! Very often, choices feel miserable. Don't expect a nice ending when only making nice guy choices. + Story, Worldbuilding and Music are my personal highlights. The power struggles and characters feel realistic. + The game is replayable, since there are 3 major routes and within are some minor variations. Already encountered pieces of lore can be skipped. - If you don't like reading, this game is not for you. You will read A LOT (and that is your Lot) - Sometimes the game forces some story and decisions on you that might not correlate what you had in mind:
Went full Martin Luther mode to become the supporter of the New Faith. - Was forced into the Inquisition, even though I was openly defying the Old Faith from the very beginning. - Had to work with my least favourite side NPCs. Fine, I will destroy the Inquisition from within. - Later had to make Snu Snu to my colleague Jeanne, because the magic tree forced me to. - And also had to burn a witch, because I was a bit tired from the beef in the family.
I highly recommend to go Ironman and hidden choices on your first playthrough, if you want to enjoy the full story experience, rather than chasing stats. Don't see this as a game, where you want the perfect ending. You play this life as well as it plays you.
Lots of branches nice story line
What makes it so good is that the choices aren't the usual: A: be good B: be evil It's more like: A: do the morally right thing and destroy yourself B: protect yourself and betray someone C: compromise and somehow make everybody miserable anyway
Bellissimo gioco.
