The Last of Us Part I is the definitive way to experience one of the greatest video game narratives ever told. Following Joel and Ellie’s bleak, grueling journey across a ruined America is just as emotionally devastating and gripping today as it was years ago. The complete graphical overhaul breathes incredible new life into the world, making the characters' expressions and the decaying environments feel hauntingly real. 🟢 Pros Unrivaled Storytelling: A deeply moving, cinematic narrative with phenomenal performances, unmatched character development, and incredible emotional weight. Stunning Next-Gen Visuals: Built from the ground up for modern hardware, featuring breathtaking lighting, highly detailed character models, and hyper-realistic facial animations. Tense and Brutal Combat: The stealth and combat mechanics feel incredibly heavy, visceral, and intense, where every bullet and crafted item matters for survival. Excellent Audio Design: The hauntingly beautiful acoustic soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla, combined with terrifyingly immersive sound effects (like the Clickers), creates an unmatched atmosphere. 🔴 Cons Heavy Hardware Demands: The game is extremely resource-intensive, requiring a powerful PC and a substantial amount of VRAM to run smoothly at high settings. Linear Gameplay: While the story is unmatched, the core gameplay loop (stealth, shoot, move ladders/pallets) is strictly linear and doesn't offer much room for open exploration. Shaders Compilation: On the first launch (or after GPU driver updates), waiting for the shaders to build can take a frustratingly long time before you can actually play. Final Verdict: 9.5/10 Highly Recommended. Despite being a heavy game to run on PC, it is an absolute masterpiece of interactive storytelling. If your hardware can handle it, this is a gaming experience that everyone should witness at least once.
Undoubtedly one of the best story telling in video games ever. I originally played tlou part 1 and 2 on my ps5 back in March and absolutely fell in love with the game and its rich story. I found it hard for me to put down this game when I started because it keep you not only entertained, but also invested in the emotional drive of this story. The dynamic of both Joel and Ellie is just so beautiful and a breath of fresh air. Playing this now on pc just highlighted my love for this game in ways I didn't expect. This and part 2 are my favorite games ever. Cant wait to replay part 2!!

Not really a proper "zombie survival" game; there's more forethought in the tension between the protagonists, but that's definitely not a bad thing in its case. The environments do their job at being pretty and capitalize on the oddly serene moments. It does feel more like an art canvas than a "true game," because of how it's structured, but I promise you'll love it towards the middle to end.
Some of the best character writing I've seen in the medium, if Sony's studios are good at one thing it's making you empathize with protagonists that are well and truly cruel people. Only complaint is that they sacrifice the frequency of encounters in some chapters for the sake of story pacing, not necessarily a bad thing but when the combat feels as good as it does you wouldn't be faulted for leaving the game wishing there was more (but I guess that's why there's a Part 2).
didn't knew a game can you so much trauma in few hours. still will go through it again.
juegazo, me lo platine en 40 hs es mi juego favorito y se la chupo a joel, juegazo 1/10
idc the game is boring so far, it's watered down resident evil and its worse in every way than re series. i get it thats the story driven game but cmon it sucks. They should've make it a movie or tv series back then not a whack resident evil copy.
Only 3 hrs in and the story so far is amazing. Visuals are top notch, smooth controls even with MnK, and the performance is really solid now. I give this a 9/10 experience.
Great game trapped in a technically compromised port. - The game refuses to work properly with my soundcard, creating distorted audio throughout. My workaround was to switch to the in-game audio setting from the default "spatial" to "traditional," setting Audio latency to "High" and using 5.1 instead of the full 7.1. I still had to restart the machine BEFORE EVERY session though, this is ridiculous and never had this bad of an experience with a game before. - The shader build process takes 30–40 minutes, during which the CPU is capped at 100%, making the machine completely unusable. This is only required after every driver update, but the experience is deeply unpleasant since your PC is effectively held hostage for half an hour. - Crashes and the game freezing before a cutscene are not as common in 2026 but, I had at least 4 times where I had to Alt+F4 because the game either froze or got stuck. As most PS games on PC, wait for a sale, not worth the full price. Then make sure your drivers are up to date before starting the game and prepare to let your PC sit idle for 30-40 minutes while shaders compile (maybe more or less depending on your machine).
