development lurches along, and there are some genuinely great moments here, but some basic mechanics are woefully undercooked (inventory management, UI/UX for crafting) and the newer features (whale, Helicopter) are either undertested or under optimized. controlling the gyro is near impossible with kb/m, which can lead to you being stranded at the bottom of a silo. the whale is frequently stuck in terrain or under POIs. the humans you make are infuriatingly difficult to manage - you'll find yourself reading reddit to understand how to use the showcase mechanics and stop hating the game, which just isnt fun for me : I dont want to be alt tabbing to read "whale stuck?" or "how to not crash gyrocopter" or "human recipe requirements calculator". genuinely hoping the devs do some sort of QA pass - there's a lot to like, but I fear its another open-world-craft game destined to die because the ambition doesnt match the delivery.
Very Good
This game has lured me in and I am totally satisfied with the game play. The exploration is fun, the building is super fun, and the scraping to make more stuff really gets the ADHD me excited. Dopamine hits o plenty!
This game is epic and one can only hope it gets better. The story line is solid and packed with mystery, puzzles and entertainment galore. If you treat yourself to one game this year, check out The Last Caretaker. You won't be sorry.
If your gonna make a game this addicting, atleast make a flipping autosaver. My game crashes every now and then and i have to be restarting from my last backup which is hours ago. Please do better and I dont understand why my PC is crashing on this game. I wont hurt the games reputation by disliking.
it crash continuosly
I do recommend this game. Having said that, it is still early access at the time of posting and it should be. It was right up my alley and I had no issues until mid to late game. Then the ship and everything around it started getting very buggy. Things floating in thin air. The whole problem of keeping things attached to the ship. Everything you build floating right out of the hold through the hull of ship and out sea. Pretty much breaks your game. Expect it will happen eventually and move on, it's early access.
Buy it if you like subnautica, the forest, satisfactory
Love it!!! Awesome mechanics when you get used to them, beautiful overall, interesting progression, cool story. Super addictive. However. I´m gonna wait a while longer before i play it any more. Gamebreaking bug when powering the Lazarus Rack. Cant find a fix and i wont start all over just because of it. I´m confident that the developers are working on it. :)
This is a great game the story is told through logs and very little naration but the gameplay is where it shines every location is a new puzzle to solve. I also like that i can solve problems in any way i can imagine. There is no correct answer.
