Incredible experience so far, I am loving everything! Most of the time this game is an escape in a very good way. So much so. that the smaller frustrations (as with the learning curve on any game we pick up) are so infrequent, they pale in comparison to the amount of joy I'm getting out of something as simple as mooring a boat after expertly maneuvering around some mines. I am hoping the devs continue the way they have been, with Monthlyish content updates, but don't burn themselves out, eyeballing crimson desert or no man's sky here. I'm not sure how they do it but I would love to see Channel37 become capable of maintaining this game in a similar fashion and I'm willing to support it in any way I can! These people have created something special and I'm glad I'm along for the ride! Can't wait for more! I would love if this evolved into a sort of small city sim, where you could build platforms and allow humans to repopulate areas, and you were responsible for building the infrastructure to facilitate their return. Who knows what they have in store for us, I've barely broken the surface here (quite literally only gone diving to get into the seed vault) but I am giddy with anticipation! Can't wait to see what's next from them! P.S. My nephew wants you to know that he loves "the techno songs" on the data recovery whatsitmabob, P.P.S. ABSOLUTELY F%^&ING NAILING IT SO FAR!! in case that weren't explicitly clear by now.
i have no idea where 11 hours went, i started playing and its just gone poof. so i would definitely say this game is fun.
Uno dei giochi più belli che io abbia giocato negli ultimi anni , sono a quasi 54 ore e ancora bramo dalla voglia di Giocarci, complimenti agli sviluppatori continuate così e diventera un giocone meglio di molti tripla A
fun so far. still in the beginning. if you like resource grinding games its fun. the waves and storms are scary. very good story telling, very lonely so far
It is fun at first but after some time and exploring, things get limited. There are several bugs that will cause missions to be put on pause or even frustrate you that you can't complete them. It is fun for about 30 hours, but after that things start getting extremely complex and building and getting what you need takes more time than anything. I'll still test play, but everything is getting redundant.
I will update this review after release --- Please, I beg you Channel37, do NOT add DEI to this beautiful game. There's plenty enough games to appease that mob and so many gaming houses are gone as a result. This new water-soaked game is a joy to play and it's not even out yet, it's amazing and just getting better every update. The world map is growing and I hope they can keep expanding the open world. Maybe a small 'barge' to tow would help with moving materials and fuels - plus an option to build a helipad on it. I have put nearly 200 hours in and have not started the launch missions, nor grown the humans, only the seed pods and all repairs, pods/power/water/foods/memories are all completed, including a full restore of the Lazarus complex and it's now time for me to stop. So many other games to catch up on and the final release of this one will be a nice fresh start with a little hindsight and knowledge :)
This game has me hooked. I like survival/exploration/crafting games and this one does excellent at all of it. For early access, it has a ton of content. If you like this genre, i totally recommend this game. To the devs; well done!
This game is the best game!!!!!
Yes, with caveats. In the devs own words, this is a game about distance and systems. In other words... fetch quests and figuring out the somewhat repetitive puzzles to get resources to power systems to bring platforms back online and save humanity??? And the combat feels more like pest control with the exception of the turret balls. To be fair, there are some creative ideas here in terms of enemy type, but they could stand to be a bit more fleshed out. Oh and, flame throwers are god in this game. It's not bad, just be prepared for some things to be grindy for the sake of it.
Good game ruined by the human creation mechanic (recipes). I have enjoyed the game but have stopped due to this part of the game. I may return once this process has been updated or changed.
