A nice game, nice graphics and cute, too bad there are too many bugs

The Lancaster Leak – O’Brien State Park is a short, free VHS-style horror episode where an FBI intern leaks a “totally normal” investigation tape from the 1980s. Naturally, it’s from a state park, because nothing bad has *ever* happened in the woods at night, right? You don’t play a badass agent. You don’t get a gun. You are basically: * A pair of legs * A flashlight * And a walking OSHA violation for “continuing deeper into the forest.” --- ### Pros * **Free** and only ~15–20 minutes long, which is the perfect amount of time to ruin your evening and your opinion of state parks. * You “control the found footage,” which is fancy talk for “walk around inside an FBI tape while they annotate your bad decisions.” * Surprisingly nice visuals and sound design for something that’s supposed to look like a crusty 80s recording. CRT filter + woods = instant anxiety. * Very Positive reviews, which means lots of people voluntarily went hiking in cursed VHS resolution and said “yeah, I’d do that again.” --- ### Cons * “Walking simulator” here means “you are going to walk… into exactly what the park rangers told you not to.” * Jumpscares. Not the polite kind. The “I just woke up my neighbors” kind. * Short enough that when it ends you sit there like, “Cool, now I’m invested in this FBI intern conspiracy and I have *more* questions.” (Don’t worry, there are more episodes to torment you.) --- ### Peak O’Brien State Park Moments * Reading that missing persons “happen all the time in state parks” and still deciding to follow the spooky trail deeper in. * Realizing the FBI annotations are basically live commentary on how doomed you are. * Standing in total darkness, hearing *something* crunch in the distance, and suddenly remembering every time you laughed at found-footage characters making bad choices. * Finishing the tape and immediately opening Google Maps to check how many state parks are near you. (Too many.) --- 9/10 Short, creepy, free, and a great way to convince yourself that hiking is a bad hobby. Would review FBI evidence, ignore every red flag in the woods, and become another unsolved park statistic again.

If you are a fan of the Found Footage genre, this is totally for you. I won't get into it too much, because spoilers, but a camper goes missing. The only 2 things I had issues with, and will put them here for anyone who may want to know. There is no save option because the game is only about 15 minutes long. I did not know initially (when it first came out) because that info about the short play time is not available. So, in the first 5 minutes I needed to leave the game to do sometihing else and that was when I found...No save option. Not that it is needed knowing the length. Enjoy.

i wish it was longer, it really captures the eerie horror atmosphere and i love the VHS filter in it.
