A 6‑hour linear walking sim – false advertising, less content than a Skyrim mod If you’re here because of the trailers that showed giant robots, alien landscapes, and epic “open‑world” exploration – STOP. This is not that game. Price vs. playtime: a single playthrough lasts about 6–8 hours, offers almost zero replay value (yes, there are 11 endings, but they’re just combinatorial variations of a few key choices), and most of your time is spent walking, scanning, and listening to a voice on the radio. Compare that to Skyrim or Cyberpunk 2077 – both are often cheaper on sale and give you hundreds of hours of actual gameplay. At its current full price (~$30), this feels like a rip‑off. “Semi‑open world”? Yeah, no. Invisible walls are everywhere – it’s a strict linear corridor. There is no combat, no gear upgrades, no inventory, and no meaningful interaction beyond pressing “E” to scan. The world looks big, but you’re on rails. Philosophical depth? Yes, but too little. The original novel is brilliant, and the atmosphere is genuinely cool. However, the philosophical content that could fill a 30‑page essay is stretched over 6 hours of walking. If you want the real experience, just buy the book for ~$5 and save your money. The good parts: gorgeous art and sound design create an eerie, lonely vibe that is top‑notch. It’s a great experience for hardcore sci‑fi fans who enjoy walking simulators and don’t mind a short ride. Final verdict: the game itself isn’t terrible – it’s an indie arthouse film dressed up in AAA blockbuster marketing. At a ~$10–$15 price point, I’d give it a thumbs up. At its current full price (~$30), you’re paying for the trailer editor’s skill, not the game’s substance. Why I’m not refunding – because I want to leave this honest review and save others from making the same mistake. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m heading back to Skyrim.
This is not a game...... its an animated story
Unfortunately, there isn’t much here that can really be called a game. Aside from walking around, no mechanics have been added to the game. There isn’t even the simplest puzzle-solving, a mini-game, or even a dialogue mechanic in the game. This isn’t a game. It’s an interactive book. Since there’s no game to speak of, I can’t even find anything to review or write about in terms of game mechanics. Let me write a bit about the story. I haven’t read Stanislaw Lem’s the Invincible. But after playing this game, I think he’s created a very intriguing world. I’ll read it as soon as I can. That said, I’m sure those who have read The Expanse series have found the microbots in the game just as similar of the protomolecules in The Expanse as I have.If you read the book, you’ll find it enjoyable to spend 8–10 hours playing this game to experience the same world in an interactive way and explore its various endings. Dear developer team, I have one more and important criticism regarding the game mechanics. At the least, you could have made an effort to implement planetary physics. We learn at the beginning of the game that the planet has gravity less than 1G while carrying our teammate. While I don’t understand why you didn’t include any game mechanics, I would have expected you to at least make the planetary physics a bit more realistic. I know It’s not always possible to consider walking simulations like this as games. However, I’ve always loved well-written books and comic books with good space stories. Unfortunately, I'm going to mark this game as Not Recommended. I don't regret the 8–10 hours I spent on it, at least because it led me to the book.

This game is truly a treat for any space fanatic. I was looking for another space game to play and randomly stumbled across this game. I never imagined how glued I would be to this game. My first session was 6 hours long. It felt like a book I couldn't put away. The storyline, characters, and choices gave this game a round finish. More times than I could count, I was walking with my view up in the sky, watching the different planets move and shine my way. It was so magical that I, for once, felt closer to space than just an imagination in my head. The graphics are stuck with me for a good while from now on. For the price you are paying, it is an absolute steal to turn into a temporary astronaut. Thank you so much.
