This is classic hard science-fiction with both the benefits and drawbacks of the genre. The characters are vessels for converging and contrasting philosophical points of view, less so their inner drama. The technology is round, smooth, with bright blinking lights and analogue controls and flashy primary colors and the science-fiction is leveraged to reflect the greater challenges facing our own species such as conflict, evolution, competition and musing on the human desire for control of our environment. The characters are consummate professionals, even at the edges of their stress levels, and as such this is a story that is more likely to satisfy the mind than the heart. The game is mechanically a walking sim, a pretty one with vast all-encompassing conversations against the backdrop of an alien world, but a walking sim with only a few mechanical moments of overall adequate gameplay interspersed between. Although I suspect if you've gotten to this games page you're likely to be okay with that. Also, the original novel was written in the 60s during the cold war, so do what you will with that information, it may or may not come in handy.
Jeu complétement buggé, se lance et crash dès les premières minutes... Pourtant aucun blocage ou contre-indication lors de l'achat! Complétement dubitatif qu'en à l'origine du problème...
The Invincible was honestly an amazing game, coming from someone who has never played a game like it. Picked it up for a couple quid on the 90% sale and needless to say I wasn't disappointed. Best way I could describe this game is a 50s-60s Si-Fi art style walking story game, that's abit like those books that you get to pick your own story line as this game has 11 endings, which is pretty impressive. And the dialog options you choose progress the story in a different way adding a lot of depth to a game that on the first play through will only take you about 5 hours. But if you are wanting to pick up a relaxing story game with a lot of depth but its not a huge commitment to try and finish then this game is amazing. Its got me excited for their upcoming release into the fire. Cant wait to see what that is like.
amazing short game with an interesting story and ending(s) - art is beautiful and the comic book filling up depending on what choices u take is a cool concept. Shame there's no sequel announced for a game with half the endings being cliffhangers
Mixed feelings — great atmosphere, disappointing substance The Invincible looks good, with visuals that are definitely above average, but too many environments feel empty and needlessly dull. There are also countless objects that look like they should be examined or interacted with, only for 99% of them to turn out to be nothing more than stage props. It makes exploration feel strangely artificial. The gameplay is extremely thin. Most of the game consists of walking from one place to another, occasionally climbing, driving the rover or using a gadget. There are virtually no puzzles or mechanics that require any real thought. That's not necessarily a problem for a narrative-focused game, but when you're also spending so much time crossing empty environments, the lack of meaningful interaction becomes increasingly noticeable. The characters are an even bigger problem. The main character and her crew are simply not fleshed out enough to make you care about them. The protagonist does get more interesting as the game progresses, and there are moments where the story seems to suggest that the mission commander has ulterior motives, which initially made me curious about where things were going. Unfortunately, that thread ultimately falls rather flat and the story funnels you toward a fairly generic ending. The dialogue choices are also a mixed bag. The game gives you the illusion of choice, but many decisions don't seem to have meaningful consequences, and it's often difficult to tell which choices actually matter. The game does have different outcomes, but it doesn't communicate the consequences of your decisions particularly well, leaving you wondering whether you actually influenced anything or simply selected a different line of dialogue. The timed dialogue choices are another example of this. They create a feeling of urgency, but often without any obvious or meaningful consequence. Instead of making the choices feel tense, it can eventually make them feel like an artificial countdown. The music didn't do much for me either and rarely added much to the atmosphere. There are also some bugs along the way, which don't help. Overall, The Invincible has a strong visual presentation and some intriguing ideas, but the world, characters, gameplay and story never quite live up to their potential. It isn't a terrible game, but I came away feeling that there was a much better game hiding underneath all those empty environments, superficial interactions and largely illusory choices.
One of the best narrative games I have played in a long time. The visuals are amazing, there is a good amount of gameplay, the world is beautiful and the story is engaging. If you enjoy listening to people talk while exploring a beautiful world/story you will enjoy this game, however if you like lots of action or aren't very interested in narrative/worldbuilding you may find this game quite slow/boring. A minor gripe though is the timing between conversation triggers could have been done better, alot of moments are cut short because of passing through triggers so if you are playing I suggest you stand still for most conversations. Otherwise a great game and I thoroughly recommend.

muy bueno che
Wow where do I start?? This game absolutely blew me away. This is the game that you add to your very small list of lifetime gaming discoveries. I have to say this will always be one of my favourites. Everything about it is stunning and the story is so captivating, it's hard to stop playing. 10/10 all the way!!!!
I had a number of technical issues with ubuntu and running this, but i successfully got those solved. The game is great, relaxing, super causal and sometimes when the work day has just kicked your ass to oblivion this is exactly what a person needs to relax and enjoy themselves. My only disappointment is not seeing the invincible. But maybe theres a way to see it, i'm not sure, maybe i'll play it again sometime.
