The Incident at Galley House

This game was phenomenal. An awesome mystery being told in a very unique way. I really enjoyed the mechanics of the machine, the way you watch this story unfold, and then piecing it together in order once you've seen everything. The way the flashbacks start with blank canvases of people that you fill in yourself was great. Once I was fully invested, I could not put this game down, an almost 10 hour game and I played it in just about one sitting. [spoiler] I haven't been that shocked by a hidden metanarrative since Inscryption, it was genuinely that good. I wasn't expecting it at all, and it was one of those moments where I was sat up and locked in once I realized what was happening. [/spoiler] I will be thinking about this game for a while. Such a unique concept and story. If you enjoy games like Obra Dinn or Rootrees [spoiler] (or Inscryption) [/spoiler] at all, I highly recommend giving this one a shot.

Goldilocks' favorite detective game: Not too easy, not too hard... JUST RIGHT! My wife and I literally played this on our wedding day to calm our nerves.

This is another shameless UI wrap-up of an itch.io masterpiece and pricey. Haven't we already seen similar situations from The Roottree's are Dead? Then I looked up the publisher. Yep, the same one. At least the Roottree's actually got better UI and controls, this one's unnecessarily tedious and confusing in the beginning, that it tries too hard to get "creative" and differ from the original, that it even changed the name of the game to smokescreen players. I accidentally bought this bundled with Desktop Explorer. The other game is a masterpiece. This one is just marketing and money scam.
