I found the gameplay relaxing and the story good. A nice way to relax when you've got a lot going on and can't play anything too demanding. A satisfying way to spend a few hours.
Love anything worked on by Abigail Larson! I really enjoyed this. Was pleased to see weapons and armour change your appearance and interesting backdrops and soundtrack. :)
Very beautiful game with an amazing story. Well worth what I paid for it.

I really loved this game! The music and artwork are quite beautiful. The story is nice. If I had to make any changes, I'd like to see a longer story, with more side quests. And I'd like to see the skill tree be larger, so that you could truly choose a "build", instead of having all skills at the end. That being said, bravo! Looking forward to more!
Recommendation: This is a fun little promotional visual novel tie-in to the film "Snow White and the Huntsman." The base game is VERY short, being the first of five chapters, with the option of paying $18 US to play the remaining 4. This seems like a lot for a promo game, but when I consider that it's only slightly more than you'd pay to see the film in the theater, it's not too bad. Critique: This game reminds me a little bit of a very light version of the Lord of the Rings cardgame. Despite this being a visual novel, most of the time you will spend in The Huntsman: Winter's Curse is in combat: the Snow White character traipses through dark woods getting attacked by various assailants (in part 1 it's wolves, mostly). The core mechanic is playing a card from your hand to perform an action (an attack or imposing a status effect) whenever it is your turn in an active battle system-like timeline. The most interesting part of the game is the light deck-building element, as each piece of gear you equip changes which cards you have in your deck, and so changes what kinds of abilities will be in your hand when you're in combat. There's also a skill tree that unlocks different enhancements to your character (speed, damage, increased hand size, etc), but in part 1 of the game you only get the slightest taste of that after gaining two levels. I found both of these aspects fun but was disappointed that it ended so soon. I suppose I could have continued grinding in the game, going back and repeating quests to level up more, but there wouldn't have been new equipment, and I didn't find the skill tree that engaging. This was a fun diversion for about an hour.

Игра мне понравилась. Мрачноватая, готичная, с хорошей музыкой и увлекательным сюжетом. Обязательно куплю остальные главы.
I really loved the world of the movies, especially the first one. The plot of the second was cool (though the movie did not do it justice) and I was hoping this would have expanded on it a bit more than it did. Very fun game though, I enjoyed it a lot. It was very straight forwards and the graphics and music aren't disappointing if you've come from the movies. I bought the full game and am currently playing through it. I agree that it's a bit overpriced and doesn't have a lot of replay value.
O jogo é bom, mas depois de jogar 10 minutos você tem que pagar pra continuar jogando! PÉSSIMO, NÃO RECOMENDO!
