Loved it. This game certainly has its charms such as the pixel art style, effects and some gorgeous environments. I was already hooked on the fact the protagonist was an animal, as I've always wanted more horror games featuring this. I liked the dark stories of Mythology and found it intriguing throughout, leaving me wanting more. There were definitely moments when I was on edge, with a sense of dread and was jumpscared a few times, which worked perfectly and the puzzles were creative. Some are definitely more difficult than others, but still doable. For a free game, this was unique and definitely deserves more recognition. Well done!

RPG Maker strikes again! The Hunt - Rebuilt is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Notably, the "developer" couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we have a godawful high school goth club dropout "horror" puzzle adventure, designed badly, implemented worse, with a bunch of "blink and you miss it" things... you know, when you design something you want people to see but make it hard to see. The truest of amateur game developer acme right there, although it's hard to describe using the RPG Maker childrens toy construction kit as "game development", it was designed for children to make little toys to pass around with friends. It is not an "Ez-mode" button to turn amateurs into competitors to Bioware, Larian and Bethesda. This is a 2D, single-player RPG. The story involves a white stag pursued by a hunter in a deadly forest. The player controls the stag and must navigate the forest, solve puzzles, and evade the hunter, or face the forest's dangers. The game is described as difficult, with frustrating mechanics and puzzles. At least that's how the developer tries to describe this mess. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $10 USD for this. And that is far more amusing than this entire RPG Maker asset flip... someone genuinely thought it would be okay to charge a whopping ten bucks for RPG Maker pixelcrap. My sides are in orbit. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

«The Hunt - Rebuilt» — это ремейк классической игры с улучшенной графикой и механиками. Сюжет прост, но атмосфера напряженная, как в старых шутерах. Играбельность на высоте: динамичные бои, интересный выбор оружия. Однако сюжетная линия слабо раскрыта, а оптимизация вызывает нарекания. Подойдет фанатам жанра, но не стоит ожидать революции.
polecam dobra pixelowa gra w której coś się dzieje

good story telling, very hard, but there's walkthru so don't worry...only problem is the event after the sleeping fox, at least let the player chk the menu bcoz i thought the game was crashed & nearly give up..
Пора запретить молодым талантливым разработчикам мучить движок RPG Maker.
