The Homestead

This is awesome. Almost like actually being there but much better, because you can float up and down and go extremely close, which gives you the ability to look at the smallest details of any of the artworks. One of my favorite new titles to demonstrate to people who don't have a VR headset.

I wish there was a "maybe" instead of yes/no haha. It's a not bad photogrammetry scene but there is a lot they could have done to clean up the resulting geometry and fix errors where the algorithm interpreted depth where there isn't actually any, like the text on the fire warning signs. Movement method is head direction based even for moving up and down, which makes things pretty annoying if you have a headset that can actually track your head position (as most do these days). Perhaps they did this for simpler mobile phone based headsets, hard to say, but it makes navigating more annoying, though one added benefit is you can fly up to the ceiling if you so choose, but that should have been mapped to buttons instead in my opinion. Still a nice little scene and I can't really fault it for not being perfect since it's free; if you're looking for similar experience check out "Destinations" in SteamVR, there are a tonne of great photogrammetry scenes even in the outdoors.
