The Hero Tale is an action-adventure RPG set in a vibrant medieval fantasy world, developed as a university final project. Inspired by games like The Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Fable, Dragon’s Dogma, and other genre-defining classics, it invites you on a memorable heroic quest.
You play as The Hero, a young lumberjack whose peaceful life is shattered when he returns to find his village in ruins, destroyed by a dark force threatening to consume the entire world. Driven by loss and vengeance, he embarks on a journey that follows the 12 stages of Joseph Campbell’s legendary “Hero’s Journey.”
Explore The World, a colorful realm inspired by Norse and Celtic cultures. Uncover ancient secrets, face mythical creatures, and bring peace to scattered lands. Only you can rise to become the hero fate demands—before darkness claims it all.
