The Final Prize is Soup mixes the past as presented in ancient Chinese literature with the modern day to make a mesmerizing tale of of life and love and the afterlife. It raises serious issues in a very thoughtful way as the story unfolds. The main human characters are relatable and each person elicits your sympathy as their stories are presented. The secondary human characters are presented only as silhouettes and run the gamut from base to horrible.The monsters are indeed monsters and are creatures to be dreaded and feared. I found parts of the story unsettling but that is to be expected in a horror story with this particular background. Read the warning under the mature content description. The story is extremely well written. It makes you want to find out what happens next. The human characters evoke a deep empathy, especially as you play through the different paths. Do not forget to read the bonus side story. When every path is completed, the whole background of each of the characters is fleshed out. It is worth it to be a completionist in this game. The art is really beautiful, too. The monsters look the part and are unsettling to behold. The music and sound effects are top notch. This is a complete package. I highly recommend The Final Prize is Soup.
