The Final Prize is Soup

This free game is unvoiced but a lot of attention was put in the characters, with slight animations (live2D?). Interesting story that I would not feel robbed having paid for. Since it's not very long too, you can always give it a try. It's worth it, really.

The Final Prize is Soup пытается смешать элементы ужаса и юри в формате визуальной новеллы. Несмотря на интригующую завязку, где на кону жизнь, любовь... Все сюжетные линии хороши, не слишком длинные и не слишком короткие, как это иногда бывает в визуальных новелл. Ничего откровенного, но достаточно сентиментальное и эмоциональное.

An interesting and short yuri visual novel. The main characters are very likable with interesting back stories and histories. Would recommend if you like light horror, and women loving women. I struggled to pronounce every characters' name every time.

I genuinely cannot believe this game is free. When I started playing The Final Prize is Soup, I was absolutely drawn into the engrossing, well-written story and the very likable characters. The artwork is beautiful and high quality. I honestly thought I was playing a demo and kept waiting for a "buy the full game" pop-up. Imagine my shock when I finished it, looked it up, and realized this complete, high-quality visual novel is free! The fact that you can venture down two distinct paths adds great replayability, and I'm looking forward to trying my second playthrough. It also plays great on the Steam Deck OLED, looking absolutely gorgeous on the screen. Huge thanks to the developer for this incredible work! Highly recommend!

Squid Games meets Umineko When They Cry in China. Both of the main two routes are pretty short, even with six bad endings (ignore my playtime; I forgot to close the game at some point, and it was running in the background). I can’t say I liked the character sprites or the writing much. I could describe both as “meh.” Some of the attempts to animate things with still images looked goofy ahh (such as King kicking Eleven). The extra story is pretty unreadable because scrolling down is kind of broken (could be because of the font option I picked, Hyperlegible). It keeps jumping up and down while scrolling. Edit: Yup, it was the font. Though this also happens from time to time with the default font too, it’s just not as frequent and thus not as annoying.
