The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

Altamente recomendado si usas la versión de Unity con mods. Si quieres sincronizarla con Steam, pon "ruta del ejecutable de Daggerfall Unity" %command% en Parámetros de inicio. Dicho esto, estar 3 HORAS para enviar una nota a la capitana de la guardia en una run sin viaje rápido es algo que solo este juego puede ofrecer. Y me encanta.

Part 2 of my unemployed adventure to play the entire Elder Scrolls series in order: Daggerfall is literally Arena, but even better. There is actual variety to quests (main and random), custom classes are a lot more freeing than premade ones, the presence of factions opens up a ton of chances for one run to be different than another, and the improved graphics are amazing to behold while still having old school charm. Combine that facelift with the even greater modernization brought about by Interkarma's DaggerfallUnity port and you get something genuinely amazing to play. Loading the game up and walking around the 3D environments was amazing and felt so immersive in a way I have never experienced before. Every town felt alive, every tavern felt cozy, and every dungeon felt like it held actual danger. If you are playing the game you have to do so through DFU, it's a game changer (and opens it up to mods). Really my only issues with the game were occasional quest bugs (minor and solvable via console commands) and the length of the dungeons. The "meta" of Daggerfall is different than Arena; spamming heal true potions is no longer easily accessible and so resting is your main source of heals between fights. As such, dungeons seem to have been made more confusing and maze-like to compensate for the changes to fights and encounters. No longer are you going room to room fighting 3 hellhounds at time and chugging potions to fight the iron golem next door. Now you are creeping around looking for hidden passages and teleporters, listening for the sounds of rats scurrying and skeletons yelling, and wondering if the door that just opened was right behind you. It's a fun atmosphere, but after 10 hours on repeat it becomes a bit of a grind. So once again, I followed guides and forums to help me out and occasionally used the blessed "tele2qmarker" to find what I spent an hour searching for on the wrong floor of the dungeon. Where Arena was a fun game that I may load up again in the future to try a different class, Daggerfall is a game I will leave in my library to try new things in. I never committed any crimes or joined the Dark Brotherhood, nor did I follow any gods. There's so much to experience and I'm frankly excited to do so. Onto Morrowind!
