A do-as-you-will classic. Nothing will ever be better in my eyes. This has been my go-to since the early 2000's.
i honestly have so much fun just creating characters, this is probably one of the best character creation systems i've ever used in a game. use DF Unity unless you're a purist, and don't turn on small dungeons unless you still suck your thumb. great game, and good story.
10/10.
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
Daggerfall is a very dated Elder Scrolls game and it shows unfortunately, i will say however that its interesting to see how many mechanics there are in this game that didn't make it to future titles, such as gold having a carry weight and needing to have a wagon to cart things around. the combat in this game follows more of a dice roll format where when you swing at an enemy, there's a chance it will just do nothing, meaning you didn't roll high enough and you missed. the game also lacks a lot of immersive content that future games have, such as unique npc dialogues, along with unique npc's themselves (mostly). the version of the game i play is the Unity port, complete with questpack 1, bug fixes, and modding capability. it doesn't mask the "dated-ness" of the game but it helps to make it just a bit more playable. i did play the DOS version for a while and was fun as well, i would say to give both a shot. the game content is a bit bland and some of the writing is kind of silly or not really descriptive enough, but my imagination however fills in the shortcomings and it does carry the game a long way. all in all, for what it DOES offer, it gets pretty immersive in those regards and i find myself stuck playing this constantly. i absolutely recommend this title, its one of the stronger old games that Elder Scrolls has to offer.
Great game Unity is superior but old is very good I love this game.
Good game. But keep in mind it OLDER
