Гра наче норм але сюжет досить дивний, та й не дуже страшно

Непогана коротка гра, але відчуття що граєш за ідіота. Так, Коал, твоя сумка мабуть сама забрела в сарай а посилка сама по собі розпакувалась.
I love a good short indie horror game, especially one with multiple endings! This honestly was a fun one that ill be thinking about for a while. Had some great story layering, great voice over, and everyone knows a great horror game needs good music which this had! Great job creators, ill be paying attention for other games you make for sure!
I learned that I'm apparently the embodiment of "Nanacore" after playing this.
"The Director's Disorder: Pilot Episode" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "The Director's Disorder". The Director's Disorder is a basic Unreal asset flip, yet another atrocious horror jumpscare first person "adventure" where you wander around a collection of flipped assets from the Unreal Marketplace/FAB as the developer tries to get YOUR money for other people's game assets. However in this case it seems the developer couldn't be bothered doing the rest of their asset flip, not a product you can buy. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not The Director's Disorder, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "The Director's Disorder: Pilot Episode" too. Usually the purpose of these advertisements is to get you to shell out money to the developer to buy the full product, but the developer hasn't bothered actually making a product you can buy, leaving this as an advertisement for nothing. We must question what value this pointless advertising has for gamers... and the answer is "none". Due to the poor public response amongst gamers for this advertisement, it seems unlikely the developer will go on to make the full product. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
just another cliche so called scary game is all this is. 30 minutes or so of gameplay. not bad. just cliche.
More detailed review following TLDR ones. TLDR for steam users: fun, free, really cool premise, great villain, great vo, but dont take the story too seriously as it can get kinda silly and feels like it's fast forwarding through all the connective tissue.. TLDR for devs: excellent premise but (whether on purpose or not as if this was meant more as a proof of concept I can understand why maybe you didn't care as much about fleshing things out) the narrative arc needs way more time to simmer and grow, I had a great time playing this and really appreciate it being free and the devs sharing it with us. The voice acting was really well done and the director is fantastic! The concept and premise are excellent. Without getting into spoilers it's a nice fresh take on the "psycho making person do terrible things for x reason" that has a nice twist to it. I would love more of this type of thing if the devs are reading it. That being said, I would love more with the following caveat being the story while compelling and for reasons I won't spoil becomes almost silly at a certain point, especially given some of the choices and endings you can get. It becomes almost cartoonish and not very scary at all, and more of a morality tale. Again I think the bones of it are a great idea, i just mean that the execution here script wise felt silly. Examples would be how little the MC reacts to things prior to the big reveal so to speak (as others have mentioned), but also it just feels like so much ground is covered so fast - it's almost like you're watching a soap opera of scandalous reveals in fast forward. Again, I'm aware this is free, and short, and maybe meant more as a proof of concept for the team, so maybe that lack of fleshing out is a result of just wanting to get the big idea across of what the game's premise is - and if that's true i totally get it, and again its a testament to how good the idea and the VO is that i still super enjoyed it regardless, but i think if the devs are going to do a full fledged priced game of this they need to take way more time to set the mystery a bit more carefully as well as make the characters react more realistically to what's going on. don't change the director tho, he's great!
