It's interesting. The game itself is really rather short (ignore my time, as I apparently don't know how to game and got stuck in one part). Some of the text overlapped each other and the warnings can come a bit too late (The first time I died, I didn't even see the warning before I was killed). The English is also a bit off, but that could be overlooked at least. The autosave feature didn't actually work. There are only three autosave locations that will actually work, but you can't load from them until you get to those parts in the game. The story is also a bit lacking, but for a really quick game, I didn't actually expect much out of it (given, I didn't realize how short the game was before I played it). There are also some jumpscares in the game, which I didn't expect but won't hold it against any horror game for having them (as it does add a bit more depth to the "horror" aspect for a 2D pixel graphic game). Overall, its super short and really cheap. Is it replayable or memorable? No, not really. But it's not bad, and if you're bored, I say give a shot.
this was fun. great atmosphere, nice little spooky moments, i had a lot of fun. the only part of the game i didn't like was one that required good reaction time, which i do not possess lol. but overall, i liked it.
It's intriguing. The game itself is rather short, although my playtime may not accurately reflect that due to getting stuck at one point. Some text overlaps, and warnings can be delayed, catching players off guard. Additionally, there are occasional grammatical errors in the English text. The autosave feature is flawed, with only three functional autosave locations that can't be loaded until reaching those points in the game. The storyline feels somewhat lacking, but considering the game's brevity, my expectations weren't high. Surprisingly, there are jumpscares, which add depth to the horror aspect despite the game's 2D pixel graphics.
Cool Creepy Little Game !! OOF
For 50 cents its an ok game to play once...
Como me assusto com tudo, tomei varios sustinhos kkk. Acho que deveria ter mais historia e mais coisas para se fazer nos quartos. A interação deveria ser um pouco melhor.
The Chills is an asset/template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who did this already with his "Haunted Jail: Alcatas", "Gregor Hills Haunted Hospital" and "House Number 666" games, it's the exact same game with a different skin. It's a 2D top down retro pixel stealth/puzzle game where you wander around 2D retro pixel levels that don't have much in the way of lighting to discover there's monsters etc. Run away from the monsters and solve the simple switch flicking puzzles. The implementation here is garbage. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. No matter how many times Anamik does a copy+paste of this godawful game, it's not going to suddenly become anything better than garbage.
this game sucks i would rather watch boku no pico
