Sound: 6 Graphics: 7 Story: 5 Gameplay: 6 Commands: 5 Fun: 6 Time to load / lag: 9 Bugs / Problems: 9 Final (my score, my rules - these is not math, punk) - 6 the game its just impossible to play without theres on guide (whats not by a coincidence are been sell here). Too confused, You round and round to nowhere or would be anywhere. The quest are a mess and while you you some combats (ate the same place) its a walk in the park, you just turn around the corner and its a knife in the back.

It's fairly decent but has an unjustified price so if you can get it on sale and enjoy these types of rpg's then you'll have a good time.

If you ever wanted to play the strongest dumbass in the world, this is the game for you. Has optional romances, bizarrely enough. I like the game and think its funny. Tons of optional areas and secrets to find. The story is alright. I think the banter is the real standout here.

I played through the game on RPG mode, blind. I really wish there was more of a neutral rating than a yes or no rating. I had fun with the game, but certain aspects required a lot to figure out. Some areas are very well hidden and there is a lot to unlock. Ultimately did I have fun with this game? Yes. And it is does have replay value to use party members you may not have unlocked in the first playthrough. Pros: -Lots of characters to unlock -Catching up on leveling other party members isn't too bad. (Party members you will come across do not start at level 1, so it's easier to catch their levels up. Any under leveled members can just "defend" while the stronger ones fight.) -Lots of areas to explore and items to buy -Items dropped from bosses/chests are generally helpful -Healing items (health potions, magic potions, reviving items) are fairly priced -Game auto prompts you to save during waves of boss battles -Enjoyed the story and plot twists -Boss battles are challenging -You can have up to 15 save files, so you don't have to delete your current playthrough to do another Cons: -The map you get in game isn't very helpful; it does not show maps of caves, dungeons, etc. (Only an overview of the world itself or the zone you are in.) -Some party members are near useless and get 1-shot. I know it's supposed to make it more fun to have a wide variety, but some are not worth using. -Some party members can be pretty overpowered. Depending on how much you like a challenge, this may be a good or a bad thing. [u]Spoiler:[/u] [spoiler] I chose to kill Jasmine at the start of the game. Later in the game I was able to unlock Tamara. She gets a move that will 1-shot many enemies. She also gets a move that can revive party members with a significant amount of health. [/spoiler] -While you can save when Jordan is in your party (Vision of a Dream spell), at the party splits you won't always have Jordan to do this. (You'll have to either save in towns or rely on auto save without dying.) -Achievements (while not required), are grindy. -Some achievements and party members can be missed; some you are unable to go back and get after progressing to a certain point in the game.

Quality classic 2D RPG. Has all the featured you expect from Aldorlea. This one wasn't my favorite story / style wise so didn't finish it, but the combat and mechanics were solid so still recommended. If it's your first Aldorlea game, maybe try the millennium series first or any in the Laxius Force series first. (3 stars of Destiny and Fortress of Hell - Sadly the actually named Laxius Force 1-3 games are not yet on steam, but you can get them from the authors website) But yea buy this game or others from this dev to support him so he can maybe put more on steam. Pretty much 99% of his games I've played I have really enjoyed.

A solid classical JRPG with enough (side-)content, characters moments and gameplay twists to keep you until the end. Being able to choose who your main party member will be at the start of the game is very neat. An overall sympathetic experience.
