New Steam Psychological Horror Game Review (Terrors Of North - Finnish Cabin) https://youtu.be/5HDo12HowWA?si=1eNzoD2NISY9ph0z Developed by Nonsense Games, Terrors Of North - Finnish Cabin is a lo-fi analogue horror set in a darkly atmospheric woodland environment. Instantly, Fans of Fears to Fathom will see stark similarities with the low-grade VHS style aesthetic and grainy found footage presentation. After purchasing a cabin for a suspiciously low price, rather ominously, you are immediately made aware of a nefarious criminal living in the nearby neighbourhood. While, at the same time learning of a mysterious missing person case, which somewhat sinisterly remains unresolved. Nonetheless, you head to the cabin on foot against the eerily creepy yet darkly atmospheric backdrop of a dense moonlit forest. Once inside, you're tasked with completing several routine household chores. Part walking, part task simulator, the game has you cleaning up cobwebs, collecting wood for the fire, and replenishing the stone heater. But as the night unravels, things soon descend into unfathomable despair. Random knocks at the door, disturbing death threats and smashed windows all elevate the tension on tenterhooks until a chilling confrontation at the curtain call presents two unique endings, depending on player action. Though somewhat short in length, Terrors Of North delivers a frightening finale guaranteed to generate goosebumps. Loved it! Check out our full chilling review on Youtube hounds of hellish horror!
While not the most dynamic horror title around, Finnish Cabin offers very authentic suspense. Nice game for the price.
