This is a really cool concept and started off looking really good, but as you get further in, it becomes a letdown You're thrown into a facility with mild amnesia. You know what the facility is, but not how you got there. You integrate as a soldier of the facility and need to figure out what has happened to the other soldiers. The puzzles are interesting and not too frustrating to figure out. The combat is very unique, especially for a point and click, but this is also where it becomes a letdown When the monster appears, time slows down to make sure you shoot the monster, which is fine. This stuns him momentarily and you have to traverse to the exit. I'm not sure what the intention of the devs from here is, because it doesn't seem like a player will be able to click through the puzzle quick enough before getting grabbed again, which is what happened to me, and also ended up bugging the game out. The monster also becomes more of a joke than it is scary at this point. It's quite humorous to see him running on the spot as he begins to start his path towards you again. But the biggest problem with the game is that everything mentioned was the tutorial and also where the game ends. Looking at other reviews it seems there was more substance to the demo than the actual paid early access so I also gave it a try. Props to the devs, the early access is significantly better than the demo. I will keep saying, early access is not an excuse to release a laughably unfinished game just to cash in though. Especially releasing a 30 minute tutorial and asking for money.
Can't even call this an early access release. Are you kidding me? It's $8 to play the tutorial... almost a year since the demo released and I paid to play the tutorial. I can't express how disappointed I am with this result. I did more in the demo, which got me excited for this game in the first place, than I did in this. The demo was amazing and this is just... sad. The game is labeled as v1.0... 1.0 means the game is fully out, this.. is not that. Its either "early access V0.XXX" or it's "fully released 1.0"; Clarify this issue, dev. Also, the game looks different now and has obnoxious box in the bottom left now. The dialogue pulls me out of the game every time I interact with anything. At one point there's a soldier that literally says "bro" at the end of each sentence and its so out of place. There's also this weird lack of audio/ sfx with interacting/UI in this game and makes the game awkwardly silent at times. The game also bugged out twice which caused me to completely restart this tutorial both times. If this is what to expect from the future of this dev, with a heavy heart, you can now count me out.
This will be more of a pity review than anything because the price for the game got halved 3 days after release, and I don't know if this was a problem with regional pricing or developer halved the price themselves. While I hope that this game will become a finished product, I can't deny the possibility of it entering development hell, and I believe it's only fair to mention what state exactly this game is at the moment. Right now, there is only a tutorial available to play, which took me 30 minutes to complete. Game looks good, environment is rendered in real time, and direct interaction with it is nice. Healing, changing batteries in the flashlight and reloading the rifle all made in this drag and drop style, which is neat, I like that. All this will make for a great game, but it's not there, and that's what I am trying to tell. Only buy this game if you want to see it being made. I will leave a positive review, but there barely any game to review
All style, no substance. They didn't even have the main monster of the game when I played. Maybe if this game is 100% finished, I'll look at it again but it's actually a giant downgrade from the demo this way.
无论怎样,我都讨厌这个游戏所表现出的政治倾向,作为一个在DEMO版就很期待的玩家,我对此表示愤怒和遗憾。
This game is so buggy
Сама задумка и стиль прикольные, но платить за игру длинною с демо, я не собираюсь. А, ну и во второй локации сильная просадка фпс.
looks really cool, neat concept, but like how do you even progress in this? disappointing design, not sure what you are meant to do to get around the creature.
AMAZING GAME, I WANNA SEE WHAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE IN STORE FOR US 10/10
