It's pizza time, dudes! I hve always been a big fan of the Ninja Turtles and spent countless hours playing the NES titles with my school friends back in the day. I always wanted a 3D Ninja Turtles game with a distinct art style, absolutely addictive combat, and high replayability and this game offers them all. The art style is just so eye pleasing, especially when you connect your PC to a 4K TV and play from the couch. The combat is incredibly satisfying and easy to understand. Furthermore, the game offers both online and local co-op, which is a massive W for classic players like me who love to chill with friends. Definitely recommended! 👌
"oozing for a brusing" "if this was any more stable it would have horses" terrible puns and unfunny jokes aside, there is a decent gameplay loop buried under bad balance, slow progression that doesnt feel rewarding, broken hitboxes, and the worst writing i had the displeasure of experiencing in a long time
Before I say anything else this game has screen shake YOU CANNOT DISABLE. Even at the $3 I paid I find this to be pretty mediocre. Played one run and that's enough for me. Enemy variety is low, arenas are uninteresting, upgrades are quite boring (wow a synergy that gives me +10% damage, exciting!), the combat is simplistic while lacking punch, and there's essentially no choice of rooms or paths during a run. It's a straight shot with limited choices. Builds also seem limited based on the choices I received. On top of this it has issues on PC. The first is that the mouse is always showing on screen which is annoying, the other is no option to disable screen shake as I noted at the top of the review. How this doesn't exist in a game released in 2024 is really crazy to me and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is bothered by screen shake like I am. It's not too awful but it isn't great either. Maybe if you're nostalgic for TMNT, this is your first roguelike in this style (not sure why people compare this to Hades when it came out 4 years after the first game but is still lacking a lot of what made Hades great), or you want to play couch co-op where things are relatively simplistic it could be fun. For the seasoned roguelike player this one is a pass.
i like turtles
Splendid roguelike, fun to replay as the bosses get new dialogue and patterns each playthrough. Works well even if you are on keyboard+mouse. Though it is not without some cons: - Cannot change your character as the host in online play, gotta go back to the menu. - Completing Rooftop does not count toward unlocks if you go through the Junkyard. - AFK timer that will kick you for idling even in your own lobby. - The hitbox on the Large Barrier Mousers' forward sweep will hit even behind them, not an issue on other enemies like Shredder. - There is no ingame cursor to highlight where you are aiming. - The icons in top left are clickable and will bring up respective player's loadout, which is annoying because you will have times when you accidentally click on them in the heat of battle. - You might need the Junkyard DLC to break up the monotony a bit. Fun game. Hope they fix the issues and add more content.
cant get online play to work . kicks and resets me even when i host ... when i dont host i get stuck for no reason until i unplug my controller costing me time and health ... when someone rejoins they have to pick a different character then they have no upgrades ... ludicrous errors to encounter this far into a game and essentially makes it unplayable since i only got it to play w a friend online
